Hello!!

Hello wrist twisters. I am not new to riding but am new to this site. Have seen some very helpful info here as I am the type to do all my own work myself when I can. I have an '07 CBR 1000RR. Have done a few mods such as removing rear fender and factory signals but nothing major. I have a D&D slip on exhaust but no PC. Lately I've noticed my bike seems to be running much richer and in fact at times seems like raw fuel spittin out. Cruisin on interstate it runs smooth as silk but idling and easing around town it seems it is very rough and jerky at bout 2,500 to 3,000 rpms. It doesn't seem to have lost any power as it will still reach 165 to 168 mph in 10 seconds but my mpg has dropped drastically. Any suggestions/ideas what it could be and/or how to fix.

Welcome.
I'm sorry but I don't have any advice for you on your problem.
I'm sure some others will offer help but make sure you separate the sarcasm & tongue in cheek remarks from the helpful advice!! Sometimes they get a little rough on the newbies!

Welcome Pejota. It sound like it could be your Fuel Pressure Regulator. When it fails it dumps fuel in #2 & #3 cylinders on a 919, but may be similar on your bike. Read thru this thread, sounds identical.

May be time for a tune. You might be able to use a PCIII to boot and have your bike dyno tuned.

Nice bike, by the way and welcome to the site.

Thanks everyone. I should change my plugs anyway since I had it took down but they looked fine. I will read up and see what I can find. Thanks again.

Well, wrong service manual for your bike, but it might help some.

Make sure you get your plug wires back on in the same order!
