Hello!

Getting back into riding again after a 10 year absense.. Recently bought an '07 919 with 3900 miles from a guy who just wasn't riding it much.. It is stone stock at this point, although it won't stay that way for long..

I've got a PC3, a set of 954 calipers/MC, and SS brake lines on the way.. Followed hopefully by a center stand and some kind of windshield and tail cleanup soon..

Having grown up on CBs and CBXs, I'm happy to get back to the nekkid bike ranks after having owned a VFR and a CBR900rr in the late 90s/early 2000s.. In fact, i'm currently working on procuring an 80 CBX that may end up with a 919 front end on it one day..

In any case, just wanted to say hello to you guys after having read your threads for the last couple of months in preparation for buying my 919..

Aaron

Welcome! You didn't need to stay silent all those months, although it might not have helped your pocketbook had you spoken up sooner as well.

Hope you don't mind, but I moved your thread to the New Member Introductions forum... ;-)

Let the mods begin! Don't forget to throw up some pics of your bike as well!

Dunno about knowledge.. I have rebuilt several SOHC CB750s.. And hotrodded a CB1100F back in the late 80s to mid 90s.. Now have the 919, which I will probably leave *almost* stock.. hehehehe.. I always say, leave one close to stock for drivin, and mod the crap out of the other..

I'm in Fort Worth.. Recently moved here from Central Florida..

And thanks for the warm welcome!!

Any thoughts on a baseline load for my pc3 for an otherwise stock bike to lean out the curve?

A great place to start might be the two brothers map. Lot's of people had good luck with it. It's the best that I have found so far. Read more here:

Are you using a stock exhaust? If so, you might want to try some of the stock maps to.

Any pocketbook help would be great! So far have only firmly pulled the trigger on the ss lines, centerstand, and pc3..
