Greetings from Wisconsin

Hello all - decided to join rather than mooch off the wealth of knowledge. Bought my first road bike in march this year. Should say traded my SnapOn tool box for it. Beautiful 86 Honda Magna v65. Quick and fun. Sold it because I wanted to try something else. Bought a 99 Suzuki Bandit S1200 in June this year. Also very clean and in spectacular condition. I still question why I sold it. Now bought an 03 hornet. Very clean besides the tank which the previous owner decided to try his hand at painting and graphic design. Big ol' scull and flames sticker placed just behind the fuel hatch then clear coated This will be coming off asap. It has an aftermarket exhaust but I can't recall the name right now. D&D? Deep and intense results from it. I'll get some pictures up soon as I take them.

I've owned 5 Ford Probe GT's and and ES. I put in a KLZE engine in my most recent Probe and love it. Fuel pump needs replacing atm so I've been driving my 03 Ranger and the bike.

I've read a lot of good information from some of the members in this forum. Glad I can now be a part of it and contribute.

Welcome! I almost went for a Bandit but didn't like the looks compared to the 919. Something about that faring just didn't work for me, otherwise it looked great.

How does the Bandit compare to the 919? Is the Bandit a 'flickable' bike or is it heavy?

I'm down on the border near Kenosha and Lake Geneva. Funny you say "down in Fond du Lac" because down here we all say up there in Fond Du Lac.

The front fairing was also something I could not get used to and is one of the reasons I sold it. I almost bought a different bandit that was customized naked style plus other mods but it sold before I sold my magna. It was a very flickable bike. I could wheelie it for days too. Did not care for the exhaust sound. Lacking I'd say. I did take it on a 200 mile ride for work to one of our production plants and I really didn't get very sore. I think the seat on the 919 is a bit more plush but slightly less attractive/quality. The 919 feels a bit taller (I'm 6'1"). I could flat foot with a good bent knee on the bandit and the 919 I still flat foot but knee is not as bent. Riding position is similar. Gotta say although I didn't care for the fairing, the windshield, as small as it was, did help quite a bit (this coming from a newer rider). I'll get some pics up of my bikes sometime soon.
