Greetings from W. Massachusetts

Reborn Rider here. Bought a Kawasaki KLR 650 just in time to store it for the winter! Getting on the roads and light trails in the spring after a 30 year layoff.
Put about a hundred thousand miles on in my younger days. I'm looking forward to doing some cruising and some tame off roading. The long range plan is to do some traveling out west with a camper and the wife, dog, and the KLR in the back of the pickup. Hoping to do some extended cruising in Alaska one summer. We'll see how it all goes. First a MSF Safety course in the spring and a cautious (hey, I'm old now!) re-entry into the single track life. Greetings to all on this forum.
Sincerely,
gary

Be nice to him guys ... he's from my hometown.

WoW!

Thanks for the reception, folks! Got 20 measly degrees here, windchill below 0, and 15 inches of white stuff on the ground. Anybody for a ride? Actually on the KLR board I found there ARE people who ride in the winter. I don't think I'll be trying that this year. I did get caught in a spring snow storm riding my Honda CX500 on the interstate from Salisbury, MA to Lowell back in, um, '79. It's quite a butt puckering experience! But I'm rambling.....
Thanks again for the warm welcome. I think I'll enjoy the camaradarie as much as the ride.
