Greetings from NorCal

Hey everyone, just bought an 02 with 22k miles for a good price. Having tons of fun with the new bike, it's so different than my VFR... Trying to figure out the PC3 thing under the seat, and making lots of new friends in the neighborhood with the Erion Racing exhaust. It's great to be here!

Welcome aboard Newt, is that one of those 919's I've been hearing about? Those are rare bikes around these parts.

gpzTurbo: Yes, that's the beloved VFR there behind the 919... Unfortunately, it's up on eBay as of today. It pains me to get rid of it, but without a garage and a kid on the way, well you can guess that's a battle I am not even going to attempt to fight. Maybe someday I will get another one...

Hey ricko2, good lookin' bike. The all black look makes it go faster, doesn't it?

Does your Erion setup backfire like a muther under hard downshifts? I live in a "challenged" neighborhood in West Oakland, and I when that sucker pops, I swear every dude nearby grabs for his piece... The guys at the shop said it's a racing setup, so that's the way it is supposed to sound. Just trying to figure out if I have something set wrong on the PC3.

Do a search for threads on PAIR block off plates. It could be the answer to your popping problem. Semigrey can hook you up with a pretty set of block offs drop him a PM.

pops like a mother, and I think it might be getting worse with more miles?
I'm going to look into these block off plates...

Challenged neighborhood? I like it. But I grew up in West Side Danville, now there is a rough 'hood!
