GREETINGS FROM MYRTLE BEACH.

K- so let me try this again. This is my third time posting on here to say hello. The last two were lengthy and gave some background info on me but I'm not typing all that again, because the stupid thing freezes up when I try to add a second picture and it's quite annoying. So I'll just include ONE pic for now until someone can chime in and tell me what's going on...?!

2007 CB919 w/ 20,k miles MINT found on local c list for 3200.00. Couldn't find anything wrong with it. New Michelin tires, new battery, recent chain service, oil change, valve adjustment, and the perfect riding height. Previous owner was short.

So here's the one and only pic that I'm sharing because that's all I can share !!

Thanks! I've been enjoying it for a week now. The first things I'd like to do are to raise and bring back the bars about an inch. I have bad wrists.. And I'd like to do the flapper mod. Any advice on choice of block off plates ?

Helimech on here makes block off plates, or you can get them on ebay.

There's a neat video on youtube that shows how to install them

Are the ones on eBay sold by Helimech ? I'd rather buy direct from him so we can avoid their fees n such. I'm gonna shoot him a message hopefully he has an extra set ready to go.

Just play. Have fun. Enjoy the game.

Wait- I thought using the plates was part of doing the flapper mod ? I'll have to read more into it and make sure I get all the necessary parts before I start the job..

The WT app has been goofy for awhile only letting you attach one pic at a time? For the flapper mod you just need a small vacuum cap. Nice looking bike welcome to the madness.

Welcome. You really got a nice niner there.
Man those wheels look nice. Maybe get gold engine bolts
haha idk maybe that'd be cheesey, but it seems like a little more gold somewhere would be nice but you don 't want it to be overpowering.. either that or do the side panels and grab bar.

Yes only one pic at a time. And I was thinking about the lower fork bodies and grab bar. I wanted to buy the European hornet 600 wheels (still might) because they are the same dimensions- direct swap- and I'm looking for the hornet 600 headlight as well. It's got that streetfighter look.

Welcome to the Asylum.
the 919er (IMO) looks great with the stock black rims. Anything else and your eye starts to wander and detract from the pure "look" of this neked beaut.
Great find you go there too.....$3200 and mint...nice find.
I got mine for bout the same ($3400) and in great shape. These bikes are rock solid.
Gentle when you want and a "hell fire chic" when you feel the urge.

Congrats and have fun. You'll enjoy how 'nimble' for a larger displacement bike she really feels.
