first post and hello

Just picked up a low mileage '02 919, always liked the style and finally got the chance to get one. This is the fisrt time I have ever owned more than one bike at one time, it's big brother is a '00 ZRX1100. My son laid the Rex down so I needed another boke while I am fixing it and figured now was as good a time as any to get a 919 (plus only has 7600 miles and the price was right). I know some people say why have two of the same type bikes (the wife tells me all the time), but I have ridden the REX for two years and they may both be nakeds but they are not the same. The REX is big with a torque monster motor that will wheelie at will and has decent handling for it's size, while the 919 may not have as much torque but is lighter and weight is more centralized which gives it superior handling. The son is paying to replace damaged parts so it may take a while to get the REX back on the road, which gives me time to get more acquianted with the 919.

Welcome and nice choice of bikes on both counts, your rex will back in action in no time and the 9'er will help the time pass quickly.
