Hello Wristtwisters! I've been lurkings around this site a little while, getting the feel of the place. Gotta say I really like it. There seems to be quite a few interesting personalities here, and lots of experience. That's why I'm here.

I'm not really a biker- I just enjoy riding a motorcycle. It's like flying, right? Only much closer to the ground. I haven't had a bike for the past 5 years, and been itchin' to get one. So I did a bunch of research, and decided a 919 would be a good bike for me. Love the naked look. And Honda's reputation. So I picked up a kinda new '07 919 a couple of weeks ago. Got it with 1k miles from a dealer in town. (Can't believe some guy gave it back with only 1k miles!) It's beautiful, like new, and seems to be the right bike for me. I was in love after a few turns around the dealer's lot.

Anyway, thanks Wristtwisters for your great site. I've learned a bunch of good stuff already, and know I'll learn much more. And I gotta say I really enjoy the wit I've seen displayed here. This site could be called Wittwisters! (apologies to whoever might have already said that!)

~Greg

You bring up a good point.

How does a 919 end up getting traded in after a year or 2 with super low miles?

Even in Wisconsin I can't stay off the bike it's such a joy to ride.

Welcome and nice choice on the bike. Don't forget that the factory stickers rob 12-15hp and need to come off as soon as possible.

Welcome aboard, Greg. Glad you've joined us. I totally agree with your analogy on flying and riding -- there are many similarities.

Congrats on the new ride. She's a great bike. Miles of smiles ahead for you

Hey Jeef- Thanks greatly for the helpful tips and links. Looks like you got some really helpful and probably important stuff there. This really is a great site... I guess I should probably make it a habit to check in every few days at least! Lord knows I got a lot to learn.
