C'mon lil brother, I know you're lurking

I've been trying to get my little brother to join the forum for quite some time now. He's been stationed in VA for awhile now as a nuclear sub tech in the Navy. He previously had a Buell with which he had a little get together with a pick-up last Summer. Luckily no serious injuries but totalled his bike.

Well long story short he sends me this last night:

Hey brother, how are you? Whats the news on your family? I thought you woul
want to be the first to know I picked up a new bike. Does it look familiar?
haha It's a 2003 with 959 miles. I paid 4500 for it. I still have to go to
the DMV and call my insurance company, but hopefully I'll be riding by the
weekend . Can you tell I'm excited? My roommate likes how it matches his
lightning. Other than that, I've been busy with work. I spent a week in new
york, and then another week in pittsburgh. I've been sick for a few weeks,
It was the worst last week with a fever and I missed a couple of days of
work, but I'm trying to get better now. Hope to hear from you soon.

Jeff

He's related to you! No wonder he doesn't post up.

All joking aside, we need some more 9'ers, we'll never get to the World Record without adding some more.

Nice! Tell him to get on here ASAP and introduce himself. BTW, his downpipes need attention. I figure I'll point it out before MisterMike does.

Nice find. He needs a appropriate screen name. How about seadog or unda_dogs[as in under water]?

He probably lives within a half hour of them. Maybe they could talk him into a track day as well. He's still a relative "newbie" with only a year and a half or so of riding. I've been trying to beat the "safety" factors into him from day one.

I have a feeling someone's front wheel will become strangely bent, while someone else's front wheel becomes strangely straight.

Carpe_throttle, kinda like carpe_diem? Seize the pleasures of the throttle???

Man I hope you're talking about the lubing the throttle cable of the 919 and going for a ride and not a bottle of Jergans lotion and a JC Penny catalog.
