Ditto that. Eventually, though, you'll end up on a Tuono.

Welcome from Colorado Springs!! I will be up in Denver on both Saturday and Sunday. Unfortunately it is due to a rider going down last Saturday.

Thanks for the welcome to this site. I'm in Tulsa Oklahoma and have been looking for parts for my grandsons bike. It's a 2002 CB 919 he was killed on it 3 weeks ago and my daughter was going to take a baseball bat to it so I took it from the police and brought it home and I'm going to restore it and keep it because he loved it. Right now I'm trying to find a gas tank for it. If anybody comes across on I would like to know how to get it and how much it would cost. There are other parts it needs but the tank is the worst damage and the handlebars I just want to do it for him.

Bob, I'm very sorry for the loss of your grandson. I hope your daughter will find some solace in what you are doing. Will keep an eye out for a gas tank. I think you can find new ones in the $500 range. Any used ones are likely to save some sorts of damage from tip overs etc...

That's a good price on the tanks, there's one on eBay but it's smashed...if the BikeBandit one doesn't work out the next lowest price is CheapCycleParts.com at $593

Very sorry for your loss Bob. I can tell you that Partzilla 9 times out of 10 has lower prices than anyone else. Next in line is Motorcyclegoodies.com for oem parts. http://www.partzilla.com/parts/detai...MCZ-000ZH.html

Also sorry for your loss, Bob, but I have to say, you really should consider the feelings of your daughter on this one. Clearly she is upset with the loss of her son and blames it on the sport, motorbike, etc. (which isn't untrue - she's justified).

Keeping it around will more than likely make it more difficult for her to mourn the loss of her son, and might cause a rift between you and her, as to her, it seems like you are choosing the bike over mourning your grandson.

Just going off what I've noticed about women and what I've learned.

This is just what I would do, so please don't take offense - it's my personal opinion. But I would let her do whatever she wanted to that bike and just let it go. Part it out, destroy it, whatever. It's just metal and worthless. But her knowing that you got rid of it may make it easier in her eyes to let go and move on.
