Another Newbie

Hello, all. I've had my 919 about 2 years. I finally got tired of the typical sportbike seating position and all that plastic. I eased into the naked bike thing by riding a VTR1000 for awhile. At least you could see half the engine on that bike, but I never warmed up to the V-twin thang.

I've been poking around the net on and off for a year, looking for 9'er info and stumbled onto you guys. Excellent.

Yeah, yeah, I suffer with the stinky exhaust, especially when my kid is riding pillion. Been trying different brands of gas, but no luck so far.

Got a road trip this weekend. Hope to cover about 700 miles. I'll let you know how it goes.

Oh yea, it's a total stocker, except for the mirrors. I put rectangular mirrors from a CB250 NightHawk on 'er. They're black and match the bike with a better view behind.

ya...stinky exhaust gets me too...makes my jacket funky...
There is some add in stuff i get from a drag speed shop for one of the drag cars i work on with smell goods... vanilla and stuff...not supposed to hurt the fuel...i just never cared enough to try it in my bike.... found time to try 110 oct in it though...hehehe.

Sato's and a pc111 help the stink issue, Well, ok they might make it stink less or not, but they look and sound so good you will be proud to smell like that.
