Another 929??

Hey every one. I wanted to introduce myself. I am new to street bikes. I have had dirt bikes through out my life, but this 01 CBR 929rr is my first street bike. I know... I like to do things the hard way you see. Haha. I just wanted something I could not out drive, if you know what I mean. I have found that the dirt-bike experience has a significant benefit on this CBR. I have already met justintyme73. Well, on the site, I actually caught up to Doug on his 919, at the end of their ride on Sunday, and he told me to go to this site. So, here I am. I am looking forward to meeting all of you here in the Fort Collins area. The summer is here and I don't work until 2pm so I will be riding every morning if possible. Let me know if anyone wants to join in and show me some good courses. I am also a big MOPAR fan and have a 68 cuda if anyone keys on the piston head side too, give me a ping. Happy turns and throttle twists to all. Jim

Welcome Jim.
I had a '69 Cuda with a 383 and a pistol grip 4-spd. It wasn't original or a cream puff but it ran real strong and was loads of fun.
The 929's a great bike. Be careful out there.

I am not really sure how this works. I guess I am going to jsut post some pics right in the string page. Here is more of bike and one of the Cuda. Bought it in 1989 and have worked on every part of it and some twice. It still needs work. It's been called the Money Pit. I can't sell it though.

Hey Mystical, Thanks for the greet. I do know where NorthGlenn is. You will have to send me a note when you will be up here riding or I will let you know when I am down there. Happy rides

Knorwj, Ya. Umm, I am not the expert. But, I call it a 9-2-9. Apperently it is so unique that that's all you have to put into google to hit my bike. Just 929 gets it. Honda actually calls it a 900rr but it is, and says on it, 929rr. Funny
Thanks all for the compliments on the pics. I am most proud of the car. She's my Queen.

Hello and welcome. Nice car, my family is big into Mopars as well. Here's a pic of my '73 Roadrunner I bought in '94 and used as my daily driver while I was in college.

Nice bike and car you have, welcome. My friend has a 929. We trade off now and then. It's tons of fun, but my back and neck prefer my 919. My last sportbike was a 01 GSXR 750. Great bike, but I never "clicked" with it. My 919 feels like an old friend.

to WT ... 929's are a great bike...I still want an Erion edition. I love the red, white and black color scheme on them.

Enjoy!

Hi Jim

Glad you found us!

I've been into dirtbikes most of my life too. I was just amazed at the size of that MX track on the West side of I-25. I forget where it's at exactly, but it's a few miles South of FortCollins.
I've never been on a track that big before, or one that well maintained. Looks like a blast.
But then I've never ridden a streetbike on roads like we did last week either... holy crap that was fun!!!

Abba Zaba, you my only friend.
