Aloha from Hawaii!

Aloha! Just picked up a new to me 2006 919! Low miles, some really nice mods, and handles like a dream! Been a while since I’ve been on a “Sport bike” and am totally enjoying the cool-aid again. 😉 Hoping to learn more about my bike here, and post up pics of course.

Thanks! I am not sure. Just pick up the bike today. The fairing was definitely a selling point for me. Looks amazing!

I love that fairing.

When I had my 919 I was seriously considering putting it on.

I emailed this company and got a quote for it painted the Candy glory red, I believe that was the color code, been a while.

It was around $400 with the paint.

Wow! Yeah I figured some money was put into this bike from the PO. There is also a Penske shock on the rear which is my favorite performance mod on the bike! The suspension feels so good! The Danmoto gp pipes sound great too 😉

Welcome aboard.

Which Penske is on it?
Remote reservoir 2 or 3 way adjustable?

Not sure. I think the 3 way adjustable since I don’t see a remote reservoir. Here are more pics. Maybe you can help me identify? But I went out for a spin this morning and the bike handles flawlessly!

Given that Piggyback is not possible for any shock on a 919, if there is no remote reservoir I'd assume the shock to be an 8900e Emulsion type with Rebound Adjustment (red ring at bottom), spring preload adjustment collar, and shock eye-eye adjuster (as lock nutted against the bottom eye, just below the Rebound Adjuster ring.

The rear spring may still have a marking on it re the spring rate.
If not, the spring would have to be removed and the etched numbering read off off which ever end face was marked, in order to determine the spring rate.
