919 Project Monterey
Hello all! I am new to the site and the 919. I was a powersports mechanic for years and had seen a few of these bikes but never had one. I picked it up from a friend for $1,500 after I guy pulled out in front of me and wrecked my Sportster (the 919 is far better). It looked pretty rough as he is a very "frugal" man. A long weekend of work and a few hundred bucks got it looking pretty sharp. I do the paint myself. Would be much better if I had actual painting equipment and facilities. I am far from being done with this bike, but it's the second one that I've had the previous owner want it back after i put some work into it.
So far:
Custom paint
Renthal bars, grips and ends
Rox bar risers
K&N filter
New air box (he had cut the old one to fit a cheaper, larger battery in it)
Cortech tank and tail bags
WPS lithium ion battery
LED turn signals to replace the trailer lights that were installed previously
