Twisted Sisters SportBike Rally Texas Hill Country

Hey everyone! After a ton of last minute planning, negotiating and miracles, it's on!
The Twisted Sisters SportBike Rally

FINALLY! A SPORTBIKE specific Rally! Not hanging on the coat tails of some Harley or Goldwing Rally, this is about us, about you, about SportBikes!
For those of you who don't know, Leakey Texas is located on the Three Twisted Sisters, the Texas version of the Famous Tail of the Dragon. Over 150 curves in less than 137 miles! As Racers and SportBike enthusiasts my Wife and I have worked extremely hard with local businesses to pull this together.
Take a quick look here for what to look forward to.

TwistedSistersSportBikeRally.com

Let's just says this, are YOU fast enough to try on some of the States fastest "Street Bikes"?

If you think you Have mad skills, try the agility course or some of the Motorcycle Rodeo events.

Think you have the Kind of Bike that draws a crowd anywhere you park it?
Put in our Non-Harley Motorcycle Show! Custom Mopeds, cool mini's, Vintage, Retro, Bobber, if it's cool or different we want to see it!
Make no mistakes all bikes and Riders are welcome, but this, well it about SportBikes.

Now for some help from WristTwisters;
We need to get the word out! And get it out fast! Please share our link anywhere you can think of! Post here and reccomend Forum Boards we need to post up on.
We are offering FREE Vendor, Dealer, and Club spaces at the different locations.
Have a club that wants a private area? Contact us! Know a Vendor that would like to sell at our event tell them about us or us about them!
Lastly, we have tried to put together a package that has something for everyone, but believe me when I say this, it's about you! If you have ideas, requests or advice post it up let us know!
Carl & Marie

Bet you 5 dollars you end up stuck behind some bagger dragging crap on the tight stuff like always happens. 100 sportbikes stuck behind one couch on wheels dragging its footboards... LOL

No, just that one. Still, after you passed he made it a point to hover around the middle of the line a lot more than he was before, lol. I'm kinda hoping by the time June rolls around again I'll have my Hawk finished up and ready for some road action though!!!

Hearing a bike more loud than his probably scared the shit out of him. As fun as the 250R is, I can't wait to get rid of it this spring. I have a feeling it's going to afford me a set of FCRs for the RR.

A couple of news bits guys
The great folks at ICON have promised to ship us out a box of swag goodness!
Bodacious Bikes and The Motorcycle School have joined us.
And for the record, I want to take that 250 around the Sisters once!
On a different note;
I've heard rumors of a "I survived a night with the Three Sisters" Midnight ride by invitation only Riders get a special shirt,,,, not sure yet
I have also been tol that it is official,
theJustified Ancients of Speed
will be opening the books to induct a few Riders.

Which? The loud and obnoxious you're more than welcome to. The sleek sexy screamer I'm quite protective of. But then again being a member of an exclusive club does have its benefits.

To get a cheetah seat cover, you have to race a cheetah and win. Fool enough in my book!

When I mentioned a Motorcycle Show, I thought I might baring this one if its finished in time. A true racing pedigree 1986 GSXR-750 Limited, dry clutch and all! One of very few survivors of the factory SuperBike wars. A factory Homogulation special built in limited numbers(low estimate, 300 units high estimate 800 units WORLDWIDE!) priced about 50% above regular GSXR's at the time. This one is getting the works. Clutch rebuild/replacement closing on the $4K mark, period correct PM Chicanes, next on the list is also period correct Tokico 6 piston calipers. Back in the day the rich guys ran a dry break fuel filler, the really rich guys ran a double dry break. Well that's purchased. Of course the go to exhaust had to be the Yoshimuira titanium Duplex. Yeah, haven't fount that yet. But second best was the Vance and Hines that's been purchased. Most of the bodywork is accounted for as is a nice seat and gauges, if I can just get it finished.

Maybe I should have an "under construction "class?

I'm gonna have to put this on my calendar and get my blue Hawk finished (or at least assembled and road legal).

News flash!
Just spoke with one of the "Mikes" (there's 3 of them!) at Nitrous Express.
They are sending us out some swag, and they are talking about making an appearance at the Old S'cool Drag Races Saturday!
These guys are top shelf with their tech support and equipment. Their support was the difference between mid-190's and getting into the 200 club for us. You have questions, they got the answer. This is a pic of the install we did on the Busa. 100hp wet system with a digital controller and TWO bottles.

With a 2.5lb bottle in the stretched swing arm she was running out of gas on every pass so a second 2lb bottle was mounted under the tail, besides, you never know when someomone would want to race you but only if you unhook your bottle! Didn't think there might be another one? SUCKA!

in order to do this!

it takes 200+ RWHP to push the Busa's aero's over the 200mph mark. And we all know thats where everyone wants to hang out, on the OTHER side of 200!

YEA! YEA! YEA!
so I called Nitrous Express again today to firm up some details about their space swag what they are bringing doing etc etc. So as the conversation rolls along they ask me about the whereabouts of "The Heavy Bus" my 270RWHP Nitrous Hayabusa landspeed Bike. Well after I got the record(Fastest Woman in Texas on a street legal Bike) it sat in the shop about two years and then was sold for a fraction of the build cost. Turns out they wanted it for a display of their wet system. a little further discussion and My current ride came in to the firing line, a 2007 GSXR-750 bone stock except for a Two Brothers slip-on. I called Carl we did some quick figuring and there is just no way to hide a 100hp Wet system on the GSXR. on the other hand,,,, a dry system,,, so now we will be doing an install on my street bike with a nice "little' Dry system for them to show case at the dragstrip at the Rally in May!

Toss me a bone, I have yet to hear of a cbr250rr with a nitrous system.

Man that would be insane, but I couldn't do that without having a spare engine on hand.

Howdy. New to site and a late starter in Sport bike riding. This is an old man of 52 here but a kid at heart......especially when on my bike. Ride with a group in Kerrville. Just wanted to say a hello to all.

If it could be done nondestructively I would do it, for the show. Unfortunately I am willing to molest such a unique beast until such time as I have a spare engine.

Hey SDRADkneedragger. Great to hear from you. I live in the Hill Country so next time you are in the area, hit me up. Still new at Sportbike riding but love it. Starting a little late in life but hey, I hope to be riding years from now.
