Phast 9er and Kristen join forces....

You are all (except xrmikey and maryland mike, they are on the sh*t list ), cordially invited to the inaugural Dirty Girl Mountain Madness.

When: Saturday October 13
Where: Mortimer/Brown Mountain Beach

Come in the morning and ride the many splendiforous dirt and gravel roads near Grandfather Mountain. (James)

Come in the afternoon, bring the family (Adam) and play on the banks of National Scenic River designated Wilson Creek. There is also a tipi for the kids!

Come in the evening and share a beer and some lies.

The site location is 10 miles out on a gravel road, so leave the 919 at home. Bikes must be street legal, as this is NFS patrolled property.
If you ask nicely, you can borrow the Sherpa.

Come join some dirty girls for a good time!

Leave the 9er at home┬┐ You kidding right. I took mine off-road in the mountains to go shooting. I would love to go, but money and time-off work are two things I do not have a lot off, unfortunately

But, I can say....stay out of the tipi.
Whatever you do, do not go into the tipi.

Oh, there is tent space available.
Close to the tipi.

I've been abroad but I currently live in North Carolina.

I, personally, have no track experience, but know that several of the other women on WT do.

OK gentlemen, can we please try to keep this thread on topic?
I realize that we have an entire month and I also realize that I am a prime offender of heading down an unmarked path.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Now, as for the teepee, that is part of the event, and is fair game.

What if I don't have a dual-sport by then? Will I be in trouble for riding the 125? Even if ATGATT, and w/ a makeshift headlight, taillight?

I don't care what you ride...it's you getting arrested, not me.
Besides, we have plenty of bikes. Take your pick and go. I'm hoping to have the Yamaha licensed by then, we'll see. Bring your wife, and we can sit around and talk about you while you ride.

I agree with Kristen. Come on guys, who is man enough to risk attending a gathering organized by two of the chicks in the group? I know there are several who live around the area. And any real men would be willing to travel to attend such a function....

Kinda funny that you planned it for October. My uncle and I were already coming up that way sometime that month...haven't set a definite date yet, but it may be around the same time. We were going to come up and visit some of the old homeplaces of my family. All of them grew up right in that area....Mom was born in Collettsville. Alot of ancestors from the Globe area. Uncle actually owns some land on Wilson Creek where I used to go camping a lot as a kid. I haven't been to Wilson Creek/Brown Mountain area in years. It would be nice to come up and hang out for awhile.

Let me see what I can work out. I might be able to make it!!

Will there be any swimming? Just want to let you Florida boys know that the water in Wilson Creek is COLD....not gonna be the 80 degree bathwater you are accustomed to.
