OvoCycle: Doing good the fast way! 9/29 at CMP

Ladies and gentlemen, mark your calendars for the first annual OvoCycle charity track day at Carolina Motorsports Park on Monday, September 29th.

Show up Sunday and we'll be having a party!

Monday brings a great track day at the newly-renovated CMP, including tire service provided by Sportbike Track Time. There are chances to win Michelin tires, Scorpion helmets, and other great prizes, too!

The track day benefits Georgia Ovarian Cancer Alliance and South Carolina Ovarian Cancer Foundation.

Check out the Web site at http://www.gaovariancancer.org/ovocycle

A few notes about ovarian cancer:

Ovarian Cancer is a serious and under-recognized threat to women's health:

Ovarian cancer, the deadliest of the gynecologic cancers, is the fifth leading cause of cancer death among U.S. Women.

Ovarian cancer occurs in 1 out of 57 women.

An estimated 14,000 American women will die from ovarian cancer each year.

Currently, about 50 percent of the women diagnosed with ovarian cancer die from it within five years. Among African American women only about 46 percent survive five years or more.

Three out of four cases are detected in late stage when five-year survival is about 25 percent.

A couple other notes: I'm on the Board of this charity, and hope to make this an annual event. Michelin has really stepped up for us this year, but I need to sell this thing out to make it happen.

Hmm , this might be do-able - Just have to see if my budget will allow - Good job on getting this goin !

Ovarian is one of the most tricky cancers to diagnose, it and Pancreatic cancer of two of the most silent killers, but ,no one pays much attention to it -

We have the ENTIRE track for that day, it should be a blast!

Thanks guys for your support, now get out there and register!

There's a lot of cool stuff going on that day, too. Michelin has stepped in to give us some tires and a chunk of tire sales proceeds, STT is gonna be there doing tire service, Scorpion is hooking us up on helmets...

Absolutely we do. Our big needs right now for volunteers are control riders, and maybe setup on Sunday. Drop me a PM and let's chat about how you can help.

BTW, control riders get free track time!

I think he is... but as of right now, this day is in jeopardy.

Folks, if you really do plan to come out to this, I need you to REGISTER as soon as possible. If I don't get some registrants pretty quick, this thing is gonna get shut down.

Cool!

BTW, if 5 WristTwisters sign up, I'll buy your Friday night dinner at the BBQ and we'll set up a special pit area just for WT.
