Wanna meet north of boston saturday morning then lead a tourist around boston then split south of the city? Im staying in raynham, mass that night.

Id like to see fenway and the garden and the harbor. Then anything else you might find interesting.

I'm game for whatever. If Ferris wants to head down here early we can pick a place to meet north of the city for breakfast. Then I can lead you into the city to see a few sites including Fenway if boogunoogun has to leave. If you cant make it down this way early we can meet somewhere outside the city then ride in. Just let us know what time you plan to come down here and we can plan from there.

cool. I think we should ride out of the city (better riding). Mabey ride to a beach or somewhere nice. I need to be back in peabody around 12ish so we can ride where ever, and Ill just peace out when the time comes. jumbo, any ideas on rides?

I know some nice roads up in the middleton, topsfield, and boxborough area.

Marblehead is a nice take, getting there (through salem) kinda sucks in my opinion. bumpy, bunch of lights. But i guess if your a tourist, going through the witch city of the world might be cool.

Staying north of the city would probably be smart. Better roads and less congestion. I'm not to familiar with the area so having someone show me some roads would be good. The majority of my riding is done around the city on quick trips. Since you know the area better, pick a restaurant for breakfast and I'll be there Saturday. I'll look at the map and see if there are any interesting places we should hit up.

ok. 2 options for breakfast.

1. local starbucks or dunkin donuts

2. Little depot diner in peabody ma. It was featured on food network drive ins, dinners, and dives

youtube video
‪Little Depot Diner - Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives‬‏ - YouTube

Its cool eating somewhere thats been shown nationwide. Good food. Ive been there once, I liked it. cash only. just to let you know.

Then we take 128 north a couple exits to route 62, from there a very scenic coastal road. route 127 north. then 127a, then back to 127 which will eventually loop up back to the peabody/beverly area.

A successful meet up was had. The little depot diner was awesome, and the ride was good aswell. I can't really comment on where we went cause i have no clue. Pics were taken but my phone only kept half of them. I guess 95 is too hot for a droid x ...

after the little diner depot, we took the scenic coastal route 127 up into Gloucester and rockport. From there I had to leave and the other 2 hornets went into boston. Very nice ride.

Three great looking hornets.

How did the sound volume compare between the IXIL exhaust and Jumbo's 900RR.

The IXIL exhaust was quite loud when he punched it but it had a nice sound and wasnt as loud as I expected at idle/low revs. I spend some time behind him and wasn't going to crazy with the combination of his exhaust and mine. Had we been riding longer, and had I remembered to bring them I probably would have put some ear plugs in.

I had some pancakes and bacon. They had some special butter they give you to put on them consisting of butter, honey cinnamon and something else. It was delicious. The food was great, cheap and the staff was very nice. I'm sure I'll end up riding there again for breakfast.

Here are a few more pics of all three bikes before boogunoogun had to break off...

After he left we rode into Boston. We ran into traffic so took side roads and could definately feel the 90 degree heat when we stopped. We made our way past MIT to Fenway Park. From there we went through downtown, Boston Common, saw the TD Garden. At that point Ferris headed south and I broke off to head home and cool off.

It was a great morning and I was glad to meet other 919 riders. It was fun seeing how each of us has the bike setup for our own person styles. With Ferris's touring history on his bike he had a few tips for me. I look forward to meeting more of you so if anyone takes a trip up this way let us know and we can hopefully plan something out.

Thanks, I love the look of the IXIL and have heard clips, but wondered how it sounded in person.

Ya, it looked really clean. All three of us had different back ends. Ferris with virtually no visible exhaust and his license plate tucked as far forward as he can get it. Boogunoogun with the stock under tail exhaust and the license plate right up under the taillight. And me with stock rear fender and the side mounted exhaust. I kept noticing different things like the shape of the rear cowling as I was following them.

cool. we'll have to meet up at that diner again, except this time, we can go into the back roads into middleton/topsfield/boxborough. Some nice roads, and barely any cars

ohh and i had an omelet with bacon, sausage, american cheese and onions. it was really awesome.

That place does lunch too, according to the food tv thing, their beans are awesome.
