Just doing a check to see if we have any new NC guys here. Want to see if I can find any riding partners close to the house. I live in Clayton NC.

Yep, I remembered that you were out that way cause I have a sister in Indian Trail. That would be a little long for a day-trip, but maybe we could meet somewhere in the middle sometime....like Greensboro or maybe even down around Rockingham.

Alamance County here. About an hour west of Clayton I think. It takes me an hour to get to the RBC center from my house if that gives you a clue.

Ah, that's right I forgot you were that close. Let me know when you have some free time to ride. I could head west a bit to meet up.

Hey, I'm just up NC42, near Buckhorn if you know that area. Takes me ~20 minutes or less to get to Clayton...less if I'm on two wheels...

Man, I had no idea you were that close to me. I am over near Archers Lodge actually. Takes me about 10 minutes to get over to Percy Flowers store. Do you know where that is?

Flowers store? Sure man, that's about 15-ish minutes or so from me...just continue on up 42 toward Wilson. You know where Papa Jacks store is at the corner of 42 and 581? I'm 2 miles from there...

I rode up hwy 42 towards Wilson for a ways on Tuesday night to see how far you are from me. I left the house when there was still quite a bit of sun. It started getting cold when the sun went down, and I wasn't dressed for it, so I turned around when I got to hwy 222. How much farther are you from there? It took me about 20 minutes to get to that point.

222...another ~6 miles on toward Wilson and you'd have hit 581 at Buckhorn...turn right for 2 miles and that's where I'm at... you were about 8 miles from me...

PM me sometime and we'll set up a ride...fair warning though - I'm an old fart on a 919...

I thought that sounded awful familiar but in today's global society I figured it was somewhere in CA or something...

Wait a doggone minute here. I have no control over what the little guy does. If he is sneaking a peek, I was unaware. Don't go changing on account of me.

I wish I was as happy here. I am in the office by myself today. Account manager traveling from a trade show, Director in China meeting with factory, order-admin on vacation. This sucks.

Bummer...

OK, to get this thread back on course (if that's possible with Ridge's voyeurism and phast interestingly showing up AFTER his posts....hmmmm )

OK, Ridge - when are you going to throw this "NC 9'er" gathering??? You centrally located and (from other posts) looks like you got plenty of room...we're waiting...

I've slept with him once, and he's no gentleman. Actually I didn't sleep. I kept one eye open all night loooooonggg. :chris: He kept talking in his sleep about wanting to get rid of his Zookie.

I'm working on dates right now. The catch is trying to find a date not too close to MisterMike's BBQ in late July, and Jet's Shin-Dig in Oct-Nov. I plan on attending both, and it would be difficult to ask people to make multiple trips. I will probably put together a "locals" BBQ in May or June. What do y'all think?

Just to give you an idea of what i'm working with. My house sits on three acres, with a two car garage, and plenty of area for parking , festivities, firepit, and camping if the need be. About 2.5 miles from my house is the dirt track. It is a 3+ minute loop through woods, across ponds, and next to a lake.

As for HondaJim: I noticed you limping in the morning. I thought maybe you woke up and went playing with the two at the other end of the camper. Or got frisky with the bull.

I'm in NW Raleigh, 3 miles inside the 540 loop. Soon to be moving to Durham, just north of I-85. Would love to get in on some rides before I sell the bike.
