I'd like to make one more summer trip. I live in North Carolina and know there are several of you in the Carolinas, Georgia, Tennessee area - one in fact in my very own city of Durham!

I'm completely open to direction, so long as there are twisty roads and trees afoot. Anyone interested?

(sorry to our friends across the pond, were I able to meet up in NZ I would in a heartbeat)

Head west to Nantahala National Forest and explore the hundreds of miles of twisties along the Dragon, Cherohala Skyway, Rt 28, and others. Stop by Asheville along the way which is a pretty cool town with lots of great food and Appalachian artwork.

I probably won't be able to make it so don't plan around me. My bike is currently down for maintenance and my family is about to get bigger. If the trip is in Sept, 25% chance I'll be able to sneak out for a day trip.

I'm heading out on a 33-day west coast and back on September 2, so I probably won't be able to do one this year. In addition to what Sckill said, the area around Little Switzerland, NC has some awesome roads as well - across NC/TN/VA.

Certainly up for local rides too as time permits!

If anyone is within riding distance of Durham NC over Labor Day, this show is always a really good time:

Beautiful - don't worry, we'll have time in future seasons.

@acall I've been patiently awaiting Bull City Rumble for weeks now!
