Kentucky in July

Family vacation to Lake Cumberland in July. Strongly considering trailering the BMW. We're renting a place near the water but hope to have a day to go play on the bike. Out by dawn back by dusk riding with the wife two up. Suggestions?

Not familiar with that area but if the roads are twisty or scenic by all means trailer the bike.

Let me know when and I'll give you the free guided tour.

What town you staying in or close to? I think I've been on every road in this state. You looking for twisties, scenic viewing, willing to slab it for an hour or so? How many miles you wanting to do?
Any part of Highways 55,22, 227 , 62 are nice.

Suggest taking 55N to Bloomfield, 62E to Lawrenceburg, then 127S back home. If you want to go further, take 62E all the way to Maysville, then 68S back down. You'll see the back of your bike in some of the corners toward Maysville.

Or I can route you by some multi-million dollar horse farms.

Cool, I'll get back to you when we've got some details ironed out. The rest of the family are in Somerset but I think we're somewhere right on the lake. Dad is actually in Crestwood, small world huh?
