Indy MotoGP Weekend Pics

Here's a slideshow from last weekend, starting at our Wrist Twisters gathering Friday night and then heading downtown to the Bikes on Meridian event Friday and Saturday nights. Thousands of bikes on display, Saturday's crowd was probably three times as big as Friday. Tons of classic machines, lots of pretty girls, even a couple of Ferraris thrown in for good measure. I didn't take the camera to the track on Sunday, I'm sure others will post their shots from the race though. Can't wait for next year, this event will only get bigger and better!

A few pics for those that don't feel like wading through the complete slideshow...Hard to capture how many bikes were downtown

That's Ginger in the stars and stripes bandana talking to her friend Shelly with the pink 900rr

Classic bikes by the hundreds

And plenty of custom machines

Pretty girls and exotic cars

High dollar bikes

Our Hornets

And one other 919! This belong to anybody here?

Great pics, Another gathering/event I wish I could have been to! Those are some cool bikes, that Sidecar rigid is Hilarious though! It looks really cool but what an oxymoron!

I also liked this homemade Yamaha XS650 chopper, not sure I'd want to ride it but loved his ingenuity!

This chrome and carbon fiber Monster caught my eye as well

I followed a yellow yamaha RZ350 away from the track after the race. I was impressed because they were riding 2-up

I was on Meridian on Saturday night too. I loved that old school Harley trike.

There used to be a BW3's downtown right off Meridian which is now a J. Gumbos. I would highly recommend this place. 40 beers on tap and the food was cheap (normal portions for $6-7).

EDIT: I saw someone with a Yamaha Gamma being towed down to Indy from Chicago. I looked for it on Meridian but didn't see it. Anyone snap a pic of that bad boy?

Ah yes........the Monster Cromo. My buddy had his there that weekend that he rode up from Charleston, the one you took pics of wasn't at Ducati Island though.

That restaurant on the corner in the back of the first pic by the outdoor bar is where we had a meal that day. Funny, I'm sure I walked right past you guys

Doubt that I'll have them on yet, need to get them taken apart and powdercoated, along with my triples. Could turn out to be a winter project.

Yeah, hate to tear it down during riding season, even though I have other bikes I enjoy the 9'er too much to be without during the summer.
