I can't travel up north during that timeframe James, besides it's cold up there.

But we can have an open trackday (LOL!) at the pasture on the 23rd & 24th. Probably can't do a pig but there's always plenty of firewood to burn, I've got a grill for steaks and some leftover beer.

I'll have to convince someone else [cough]Mike[/cough] to split the gas with me for the truck, and convince Mrs. Ridge to take a trip. Both of our offices will be shut down from the 22nd until the 2nd.

Last night I uncorked the stock exhaust on the CRF80F and fired it up, sounds a little more hardy now. 3 bolts to pull the end cap off, used a dremel cutoff wheel on the mesh screen. Curious to see how it runs now.

Ordered new handlebars, grips, hand controls, folding shift lever, tires & tubes. Would love to find a fork springs & shock spring upgrade.

Mrs. Ridge says too close to Christmas, and we have family commitments. What do you think about the next weekend? Everyone should already have that Monday off, and I know we have the previous week off. Thoughts?

Good for me, I'm the least inconvenienced by travel plans so whatever works best for you guys.

hmmmmmm. I have no clue about which jets to use and details on CRF80F hopups offer no glory on google. www.crfsonly.com has some info but nothing really tried and true. I guess I'll know if it needs rejetting this weekend. Might be welding the cork back in place if I get sputtering or backfiring until I can get it sorted out.

All depends on altitude, mods, air temps, humidity. You can get a lil more juice out of the baby four banger by freeing up the breathing by opening up the air box and changing the exhaust. It's more than likely running a little rich from the factory so leaning it out a little should help. You won't need to replace the idle jet just the main. The idle jet will just need to be tweeked somewhat.

I'm sure Moto will be able to hook you up in this arena but his time frame may be a little hairy.

Hey Rick - I've been traveling and it's hard to post with a PSP. I can definitely be there the 23rd but it's looking like it'd just be you and me. Maybe my brotherinlaw would want to ride also.

James & Mike - How are your schedules looking?
