Central Texas Ride, July 5th

Anyone in the Central Texas area interested in riding on July 5th? Iceman will be in town to pick up his new toy in Harker Heights.

I am thinking a departure from around Copperas Cove/Killeen area possibly down 2657 to 183 to Leander, 1431 to Marble Falls - up 281 to PR4, out to Inks Lake State Park back to 29 to 281 to 963 back to 2657 and ending up at Applebee's in Cove (or some other eatery, depending on who all wants to attend). I had thought about taking a slightly longer trip and heading out to Coopers in Llano, but I thought since this is the first day of riding on iceman's cross-country (South to North) trip he may not want to spend too much time in the saddle on the first day.

Post up if you are interested so we can get times / places nailed down.....

I know we have some pretty good numbers here in the area, lets show them northerners spme Texas hospitality. If you don't want to ride, maybe you could at least meet us for lunch! He will have his nephew with him, so I will probably get my family to meet us at lunch as well.

Give more notice next time...I'll give you a break though since this ride would have required 14months of advanced notice

He didn't know he would be buying it 14 months ago! I know it is short notice, but I have a short attention span, so it works for me!

That sounds lie a pretty darn good ride.

This is July and I have my son for the month. Bugging out on him for most of Sunday isn't in our weekend plans.

I'm available for rides again in August

Aahhh, yes... Texas' Standard Visitation laws. The father gets to have a whole month out of the year to be with his kid! Oh, but less one weekend for the X to select.

I'm in the same boat, but it is great to have this time with our kids, ain't it? Better than nothing, that's for sure.
