Central Missouri Ride

Note: Specific date not yet set, soon though, for those that might want to give it a try.

Here is info from last years -

Phuck Cycle World Forums, BTW

Anyway -

Here I am on a BKing - what a ride!

Jones Power Sports, Prior to the ride

Required pic under the tree

It's a big one

Me cell phone the next day, it flew out of my pocket at speeds in excess of triple digits when I was on the BKing. Found it the next morning on the side of the road, amazing I found it! Had it in the baggie to protect it from rain, glad I did.

Put it all back together, and it worked.

Hopefully this year comes together.

Looks like fuN!

Weird it's illegal in MO to make a Uturn WITH a left turn light (no sign stating so!). Watch out for cages making close legal uturns in the middle of a road!

I'm leaning towards the 19th -

Calendar says Rosh Hashanah and that sounds like an excellent day to ride!

Any interest, email me for details

You already missed it. Had to sell two of my babies (dirtbike and car) to afford the wedding!

Thanks.

Hopefully we'll make it that long. We're getting married on our 8th anniversary of our first date. Been living in sin for seven. Congrats, but word of advise, figure out the number before the anniversary.

Ouch. I'm coming around on my first anniversary. Hopefully I'll be here for it. I almost missed my wedding do to work. I came in town Friday night got married Saturday and left again Sunday At 12 pm . Good times and I don't have one regret getting married. Well except the Jack asses that hound me for doin it so young it's a wonder why they have such "wonderful" (sarcasm) marriages.

Common sense. So rare it's a god damn super power.

I've got a most understanding and wonderful wife.

She was 18 or 19 when we married, I think I was 25.

Not been easy, we've had our moments, but those made us stronger.

She wants me to go on this ride, she see's how they relax me, and I'm looking forward to it.

Hopefully it works out

Have the route layed out - about 120 miles of beautiful roads.

The Big Burr Oak, Seven Hills, the Boonville Flats are again a part of the run, and the rest - the rest is brand new for this event.

We'll leave Jones Powersports at 10:00-10:30AM - have those tanks filled (Just 1/2 mile or less south of Jones is a station, stop there prior to coming to Jones).

We'll make a nice loop back to Columbia and one of, if not the best Sub Shops in the entire galaxie.

If you can make it great, email me for particulars.

If not, well, you will wish you would of!

Oh, it is a mellow ride. We should be all done eating and all that by, say, mid afternoon - plenty of time for you to get back home.

Working is a better priority, maybe next year!

Michigan is one of those States that I have no desire to visit, for a lot of reasons.

That's for re-affirming that!

You're right, money is not everything.

We've been running on about 25% of what we used to make, and I'm not so sure we are not happier.

One move we made was to pay off everything other than the house, I'm not sure I ever want to be a slave to any payments again.

Who know, tomorrow, it's another day.

I'm heading to Columbia tomorrow, about 200 miles for me, and backroads all the way.

Installed a new front tire, changed the oil and filter as well.

Replaced the clutch with a very good used one I bought on eBay, only to find mine was also well within spec, ah, well, whatever. I need to get my custom clutch cable shortened an inch or so I guess, what a pain, but that is half the fun, right?

Raised up the handlebars a bit, found a dusty old cargo net that will increase my carrying capacity a little - I travel light anyway.

Going to give the old bike the once over again tonight or tomorrow, it's old, 1982, small, 500cc, ugly to some, but you know what, it is paid for and pretty dasrn reliable.

If some of you make it to Jones Power Sports, great, if not, maybe next time.

Ride safe!

Oh, here is the front of the hand out, little tri fold job, the inside is the map- it's a good route, about 120 miles.

That's a weird thing to say.

That you ride is more important that what you ride -

Or how old you are, or the color of your skin, or your sex, or -

Well, you get the point.

Wish you could of been there, it was a good ride - the second half was quite a bit more spirited but that is not what a lot of people want, thus, the first half, a great warm up!
