AMA Hillclimb Oregonia, OH

There is no area for these offbeat events so I posted here.

Angela has never been and I have not been since I was little and the weather is supposed to be nice so we figured we would head over. Not far from the house.

Yeah it is mostly a bunch of drunk Harley guys screamin and yellin at the bikes but still damn cool and amazing to watch. Funny most the bikes are Japanese with all the Harley guys cheering. These guys get little money for their effort so it is cool to go support them.

Anyone else????

Sounds like a great time. I've seen it tv and it looks like it would be alot of fun. You should volenteer to be a "bike wrangler"; I think that's what they're called.

btw, I've decided that you should try to get a job with the AMA. Your obviously a big fan and supporter, and probably know more than the current dunderheads. GO GET 'EM. Begin it Now!

Love to, but @ almost 11 hours, I'd have to leave now to get there in time for the flag drop.

Ridge....kept waiting for the call when you would be here. The weather was awesome. Much better than the area near you.

We went out and did not stay long. I forgot how truly rowdy and crazy it got. Since the sell beer by the milk jug it does not take long.

It was neat and still incredible to see them run up the hill. Angela and I did not mind giving some cash to help support the series and riders. Dave Watson was seriously hurt earlier in the year. The previous round all the riders donated the entire purse to him.

Interesting people around but some cool action. Angela got some pics that will follow.

We have realized we have few pics of us together and meant to take one today. Any of you guys who meet up with us please rmeind us and help the cause.

Gbord....have thought about trying to work for the AMA but I would probably go nuts dealing with them. I am a big supporter and love all 2 wheeled sports. Trying another avenue to make money by working with m passion. See how it goes.

Yeah, I decided to wuss out, and brave the monsoon enroute to Mike's place. Sounds like you had fun though. Is this a regular event or just annual?

Hillclimbs are part of the annual AMA circuit. It is not an event I would attend every year but was willing to go and contribute to the purse.

We met Dave Watson in Vegas in '03 and he was such a great guy. He was seriously injured in the previous round. The rest of the riders donated the entire purse from the round he got hurt to him. Wish he would have been there to watch.

Those guys are nuts. Still waiting on Angela to post pics....

OK, here's the pics. It was a good time, but I wouldn't want to go every year.
