A little bit crazy idea...for an AMA race or group meet

Had an idea that came to me and was wondering on general thoughts. If interest is there I can get more details.

Many people on here now Angela and I attend a lot of races. For some we borrow a good freinds RV and other we rent a room.

Well......I have an opportunity to get a decent deal on a 15 person sleeper coach for an event. This could be used for crashing at a race or to crash at a joint location/meeting event.

The coach has 15 individual sleepers with each one having a mini TV that plays the station or a DVD. It has satellite TV, wireless internet, fridge, microwave and shower. Also has a seating are that can be replaced with 6 more sleepers.

For a race where all you really need is a place to crash and store stuff it would be ideal. It also has a class 3 hitch and could tow toys/bikes/gear or grilles to cook.

Again just a thought. People have mentioned renting an RV before to fit more people. I can get a full price breakdown for per day or mile. For an event such as Mid-O or VIR it could be fun. WIth 15 people splitting the cost it would not be so bad.

Many of you know I am on sporadically since the internet nazis at work hold me back and once I get home I am either busy, tired of being in front of a computer or working on side stuff.

Nate

interested but can't yet commit.
Curiosity says I have to see a picture of this 15 person coach! That's got to be enormous!

I forget the website they have. They currently transport the local ECHL team and we know the people who own it. I mentioned the idea to them at a game and they said no issue. Probably more fun than the CHurch groups who have been renting it.

It is your standard big tour type bus like the rockstars use so it has some size to it.

Can we emblazon Wristtwisters on the side, so when we show up, everyone thinks we are important? Maybe it will give us some pull in the paddock.

Could fill that up with a bunch of Canadians for Mid-O!

I would be up for a Mid Ohio meet up. Out of all the tracks I have raced on I have never been on or at Mid Ohio so I would really like to go.

Which event are you thinking? The only AMA event on my list this year will be the second round at Laguna in September. Otherwise I think I am stayin' home.

(Unless my plan to go to the 100 year anniversary of IOM works out!)

Probably one of the Mid-O rounds. Since the people with the bus are located here in Ohio that would minimize the miles and # of days cost.

The finale was fun last year and they had track days all around the date.

Would love to hit IOM also.
