1st. Annual WristTwisters (Northeast) Meeting and BBQ

Date: July 16th. or rain date July 23rd.

Place: Marcus Dairy Danbury, CT for meeting, breakfast, and checking out the local Sunday motorcycle gathering. Not to be missed!
Time: 9am to around noon.

Place: Mike's house Ridgefield, CT for afternoon BBQ . Mucho thanks to my wife Andrea.
Time: 12:30pm to whenever you feel like heading out.

For those of you coming from the north and you want to join our early ride in the twisties we meet at the intersection of RT-116 and RT-121 in North Salem, NY at 7am and leave promptly at 7:15am. The restaurant is called VOX here is the Google map link.

Anyone coming from NY, NJ or points south you can meet us at the bjs BP/Amoco gas station on RT-22 in North White Plains. We will be there no later than 8am. Looking at the Google map we at a point on RT-22 just before North Broadway splits to the left. It might be a good idea to hook up with ratdog, he has been here before. Google map link.

If anyone is planning on being in the area Saturday maybe we can get together for dinner that night. There is a good selection of motels in Danbury, CT.

Looking forward to meeting you , lets have a good turnout. I would like to make this a annual event.

I would love to do this, but I am taking a two week bike trip starting Aug. 4, so I think this one is out. 795 miles one way is a little more than I can handle for a Sunday run. But we'll see. I've been known to do idiotic things before.:1eye: If I don't make it can you mail me the BBQ?

CMulford and h ryder... That's a long ride to meet up 7 am. Have you thought about heading down this way on Saturday? We could get together Sat. night for dinner and you would be fresh and ready to ride Sun. morning. Just a thought.

goodhorsey...Yup, my wife is doing the BBQ. Expect Sausage, peppers and onions to be on the menu.

You have 3 weeks to get the RC street ready, plenty of time. Meet us at the usual place where you and fast Eddie use to join up. The BP/Amoco station on Rt-22 before the sweepers around the reservoir. Be there around 7:45 am.
Link to the BP/Amoco meeting place on RT-22

Canadian invasion

Hey Mike!

I'll be there, possibly with up to 10 other riders. I'll let you know early in July the number of riders that will have confirmed for the trip.

Vincent and I are there for sure, as we had such a blast last year (minus the tickets, ).

To anyone attending, I highly recommend the 7h00am meeting, as that's a ride on twisties to remember

Later...

Up for a ride?

Yeah, we'll be in Danbury Sat. 15th, but I don't know what time we'll get there. Since we avoid interstates, it's about 450 miles from Montreal to Danbury. At an optimistic average of 75mph, that's 6 hours riding, without counting border crossing and gas/food/nature calling stops. If I remember correctly, last year we rolled in around 8h00pm after leaving Montreal aroud 10h00am.

Once we know how many riders are coming down, our chosen itinerary and our departure time, I'll give you an estimate of our arrival time.

I'm really looking forward to this trip, as I'm seriously overworked and behind my riding schedule for this season!

RIDE ON!

Mike, i hate to do this, but i have to cancel. summer is my busy season at work - getting schoolbooks ready for the coming school year. clients just notified us they're way behind schedule - i worked all last weekend, will again this coming weekend, and i fully anticipate working every weekend till 3rd week in august. SUCKS, but at least i just got a 20% raise (), so there's that. anyway, if i can, we'll make it, but don't count me in when you're doing your shopping (and i won't eat too much if i do make it...)
