Whoa, harsh!

I'd like to see one dressed up as a street tracker - wonder how much power they are letting that engine make? More than an 883, I'm thinking.

Why would an engine designed to be air-cooled need a radiator?

Or are you saying it needs one purely for aesthetics?

Other than the exhaust, looks good..... at least the bike is something a little different or not so common looking. Obviously they are going for the somewhat of a bobber look. Not to keen on how Yamaha is advertising it. But it is always good to have more choices when looking at bikes. I think the Yamaha 950s make around 50 horsepower so it is not going to be a power house but will most likely be enough for a little fun.

My problem with cruisers is lack of turning clearance and forward controls. The Yamaha Bolt looks like it address the two issues somewhat. Kind of like what Honda did with the Shadow 750 RS.

I think the exhaust is appropriate for the over all intended look.

Doesn't mean I wouldn't shitcan it for an aftermarket as soon as I got the bike.......

i like it if I have to choose among cruiser, it is a strong candidate after IRON. However, hard to replace a sport touring 919 with a cruiser...

I saw some of these at a local shop on the weekend and I have to admit, it really caught my eye. I even sat on one.

It gets worse! I even hit up the Yamaha website and read about it and watched the marketing video. There is no doubt that it would out perform the Iron 883 in every way, especially handling and braking. It seems very well thought out. If I were to buy a Sportster styled cruiser, the Bolt would be on the short list.

If there is one thing they definitely didn't address with this one, is clearance. I rode one at a demo day recently and it had the least clearance of all the cruisers on display. Scraped on the first turn, before even getting out of the parking lot.

Well that is not so good than. I don't see myself buying a Bolt after sitting on one recently.

I like it. It has a really raw style to it. If I had one though, I would definitely not be wearing a manny pack with it. That's gay IMO. I would get some really compact saddlebags for it... Nothing big like you see on those Harley Touring bikes, but something compact just enough to hold a little stuff.
Something like this... http://www.vikingbags.com/suzuki-bou...-6707-prd1.htm
