Osiris, his wife, and I were here today. First round of qualifications were in the rain, but by 4 pm at the last round it was completely dry.

BUT IT WAS FREAKING COLD and WINDY. Had my coat on and zipped up the entire day.

We got a few autographs, some free swag. Weather was crappy so we drove the three hours instead of ride, but now we are kicking ourselves. Aprilia was offering test rides, and they had four 2012 Tuonos to ride, all you needed was the gear.

Rides were 45 minutes long.

2009 Aprilia Tuono - Ginger
2001 XR650R BRP (Big Red Pig)
2006 Honda 599 - Ex wrecked it :-D
2007 Honda CB900F (sold)
2006 Honda VTX 1300C (sold)

Yes. Very very hard. Might be a good thing though, wife would have kicked me harder if I'd have come home with one, lol. And after riding one,I doubt I would have been able to say no.

Always pack your gear just in case.... Sneak it into the trunk while the wife's not looking...

Nobody had done test rides before. And this was Aprilia's first year coming, and they thought everyone else was going to offer rides, so they actually ended up being the only ones who did.

Race one - Checa, as per usual for Miller.

Sadly not a cut-and-thrust festival like Donington....

...as for the 2nd race though, that was more like it! A rare mistake from Checa, and suddenly the championship is all over the place...
