Wrist Twisters Track Event

Monday & Tuesday after Bike Week - March 13/14 at JenningsGP
https://www.wristtwisters.com/catalog...dada144f56686e

We're about 8 weeks away and still have lots of open spaces. Really need to get you guys on the track and have a great time riding with buddies. All skill levels are welcome.

Starting to get a little concerned about the number of riders, would hate to put this event in jeopardy so please let me know if you have any questions.

I will see... but probably not going to be able to make it. Between Bike Week and advertisements hitting the week before...

You've got 8 weeks to figure out a way to be there. Countries have been invaded and governments overthrown in less time. Don't be scared of having a BMW school you.

I'm thinking about going... Not sure yet. Do you have to do both days?
NewRedRider has been bugging me about it.
Never been on a track before but have been wanting to for a long time.

I know this question has been asked before but can we purchase just one day? I can't remember your answer. 2 days is a LOT of track time! I don't think I'd be physically able to ride both days (without wadding the bike up) and I'd hate to pay for 2 days and only use 1.

Yes, we can do single days. The signup sheet at https://www.wristtwisters.com/catalog...products_id=92 has the option to select a single day now.

I'm bringing the pressure to you man. We talk all the time about getting back on the track and you can never make it. My suggestion is don't go to Bikeweek, use that time to work and take the time off to do the track. Change up the ad hit dates, you've got weeks before press blueline commit. If there were a thousand bucks in an envelope waiting for you there you'd find a way to be there. You know you're jonesing to get back on the track, i'm just showing a little stubborn encouragement.

Thanks for the info.

JB... How many openings do you have left?
I actually have that weekend off. 8 weeks is enough time for me to get ready. I think I know a couple of guys that would come with me.
C'mon NewRedRider lets go!

The problem is I can't change the dates of the ad hitting, that county ad hits the first week of the month, every month. Can't spend $1500 on an add and not be there to take calls and install systems. It sucks.

To take calls? Isn't that what India is for? It'd be like $.13 an hour.

Hey Mike - a bunch. Most everyone who's signed up are regulars who've been there every year. At this rate there isn't much need to distinguish between slower and faster riders, everyone who's signed up so far is a experience quick rider, we need some new faces.

Here's where we are fellas - need to have 29 riders by Feb 12 or I have to pull the plug. Definitely not what I want to do. Understandably Monday / Tuesday events are tougher for many people but this event is being broadcast to (ballpark) 15000 riders over half a dozen websites and we can't even get 29 people??? What's happening to motorcycling?? Don't let a blingity talentless crop of chowderheads become the majority in our sport, put it on the track man!

I think the Mon - Tues things hurts people and so do gas prices now. And as it's the beginning of the season for everyone, people are being quite stingy with money and vacation time trying to plan out there expenses for the year.

Jennings is a fun track and you regulars, can't say enough there, but I don't think it has the draw your looking for in March. Good luck JB but if you gotta pull the plug, then so be it...

I spoke with Jennings and I owe them a "go, nogo" decision by Friday 2/17/06. They were very gracious in giving us this extra time so let's be prudent and get the riders we need to pull this off. We really want to be on the track enjoying ourselves these two days.

Hate to do it folks but we're pulling the plug on this. Just no way we're going to get enough riders and the overwhelming concensus is it's not worth spreading the shortage over everyone else.

I'm working on organizing refunds which will start sending back tomorrow.

Hey guys if you are interested theres a few of us going to Jennings the 3rd of March its a friday. We have the track for the whole day they are limiting it to only 30 rides total for the day. Its $200 that includes lunch and dinner after the track day. You guys that go to Jennings know how packed it can get in the winter there. A great time to get some track time with a lot less people. Well here is some more info. http://www.r6messagenet.com/forums/s...ad.php?t=72089
