TrackXperience @ Big Willow Springs Monday, July 2nd!

Cal-Sportbike TrackXperience is back at the Willow Springs Big Track...Monday July 2nd!

Read the recent article from TrackDayMag.com here:
http://www.trackdaymag.com/i?a=50

RIDING SCHOOL: With a comprehensive Level 1 school to rival the national schools, we should be the first choice for riders who are looking to build their skills and become precision riders! And with us, while speed is fun, it's all about precision with us, not just the speed!

OPEN LAPPING: Open lapping (must be an experienced track rider) is free riding with abundant track time yet we keep unsafe and discourteous riders out of our events. You bring out a nice bike, we expect you to be able to take it home shiny too. Our staff of professional instructors are available throughout the day for one-on-one personal coaching, and they monitor this group for safe and courteous riding. (open lapping IS allowed in L1 for riders desiring a slower pace, whereas L2 is higher intermediate to advanced lapping riders)

TRACSTAR CHALLENGE: Tracstar is a skills-based rider certification and awards program which focuses on developing both physical and mental bike control skills and safety habits. It is inspired by proven sports training programs that have worked well for decades around the globe. Tracstar is free and optional for any rider.

FORMAT: 2 customized groups. Long sessions means 50% more riding than a "3 group" format event. Not only do you receive more miles, but a BETTER experience. What's your track day funds worth to you?

AMENITIES: We deliver chilled bottled water and Gatorade delivered to each pit during the day, and the optional catering tickets include a full hot buffet breakfast and full buffet lunch!
Vendor services at this event include trackside tire service (provided by Racer's Edge Michelin through Precepts Motorsports), photography by CaliPhotography, and suspension tuning by CycleMall.net. We have standby EMS and of course a full corner staff for your safety.

The ticket price is $170 per rider and includes beverage service (catering extra). You get what you pay for and our riders expect a better experience with more track time and better amenities.

More information on the TrackXperience riding school, open lapping, and the Tracstar™ Challenge Program can be found online at http://www.trackXperience.com or by calling (800) 930-8520.

Media inquiries or registration questions may be directed to Todd Robinson at [email protected]

Some discounts apply for industry employees, licensed racers, and select sponsored clubs.

It should be a nice day out at WSIR, be sure to drink plenty of water starting the day before, to keep you hydrated, you should be going to the restroom just about every other session!

Unfortunately this year yes, because of the retail company moving to Idaho for business reasons, but hopefully we'll be back to doing more venues / more dates next year...

This years events are all at Big Willow Springs all are on Mondays which there is one on Labor day!

Here's one of me at Spokane Race Park in WA. Not a very good pic as it was shot with a small camera, but you get the idea of how a 919 can lead sportbikes around the track.

Jay, you remember all the things you did to the 919 to get it on the track? I can see rearsets, exhaust and headlamp mod. Any suspension stuff?

ok originally did very little to get it on the track, I mean don't really count the head lamps, or exhaust just to put a bike on the track, I did put Diablo Corsas on the bike, no suspension work, stock rear sets and handle bars

see this picture, 1st time ever on a track...

but by the time I was really riding faster than most on sportbikes, my 919 was heavly modded...

ohlins rear shock
Race tech gold valves and .95 springs in the forks
520 ERV3 gold chain -1 / 0 gearing
water/water wetter in the cooling system,
galfer braided front and rear brake lines
Galfer HH front brake pads
Sato frame sliders
Sato Rear sets
Flapper mod
Renthal ultra low road bars
Moriwaki exhaust

I added Pazzo shortie brake and clutch levers after I crashed on the track
repaired everthing including a new gas tank, new handle bars and gages housing, sato frame sliders and necessary sato rear set parts ... and
sold the 919 for $4k to an old employee where I used to work, I see the bike now and then, but that guy has crash it 2X and it's never looked the same since I sold it to him...

Dang, you walk away OK from that?

Yeah, I know you don't need any of those things to get on the track, I was really more curious what mods you had done to the 9er, didn't know you used to have one. Question didn't quite come out right....long day for me.

Anyway, thanks for posting the list!

Look closely. Engine mounted sliders. They look to be intact.
