When you decide to buy a bike at about 3:30pm, and you want to get it the same night but you rode to work and need to hit the bank and pick up your cage and hook up the trailer and drive 3 hours one way and go through weather like this you know it's going to be worth it.

But the pictures don't resume until this morning, when this found its way into my garage.

The personalization begins with 3 baths and de-personalizing the previous owner.

Thumbing through my catalogs reveals many questions and many opportunities to quickly spend mucho bucks.

first outing will be Jennings in early September.

I need to change the gearing and take a couple links out of the chain, will change the oil, flush the radiator, lube all bearings, torque everything, new tires, new grips and other miscellaneous stuff.

Negative. The SV is being parted out. I was never as comfortable on it as I would have liked. I'll have another when the time is right.

I hope it won't be as maintenance-intensive as the Husqy was?

it will, but it has a couple major advantages:
1. it was purpose designed and built as a supermoto at the factory. The Husky was a factory conversion from dirtbike to SM with less re-engineering for SM.
2. Factory support from KTM is far better than I imagined.
3. Two KTM dealers/servicers in Tampa, there weren't any Husky dealers in Florida.
4. Has a kickstarter, no battery failures like the Husky.
5. Factory service manual included in the paperwork.

And most important to me, it's a trackbike and as long as I keep up with regular servicing I'm not going to be so particular over every single little detail.

I've yet to ride a supermoto that has any decent power. Everyone I talk to though says its about the most fun you can have on two wheels.

Congrats, looking forward to your report. I'm sure this will bring some smileage.

Does this mean you have to lose the KTM?

I can't picture you owning a bike and JUST servicing it for use without a bunch of cool mods or being of superior running shape.

I dont know if that Prilla 450 will make it ti VIR. I've got it tommorow and I'm not sure it will survive
Maybe just the top end will get hurt.

the 13 was insane. It was geared for gokart tracks and could just rip, smart advice says keep your weight over the front.
