Very astute RC90 I was thinking the same thing. I'm gonna mull on this one but in the meantime howsabout that Nicky getting 7th. I'd love to see him get 5th, he always goes well at P I.

HondaJim, Warm up will be at 7 PM EST so, if you allow the West coast to input thir picks by 10 PM CST, you are giving them an edge over the rest of us because, if it decides to rain, then they have a chance to change their pics.

GDJAM, you know I almost never choose Edwards in my picks and the difference in times in the Q between him and Nicky were negligible, and I may yet choose Nicky for 5th instead of Edwards.

How I see it is, DeAngelis is right smack in the middle of those 2 and Nicky always suffers more so I am hoping that Edwards will have a better chance of surviving catastrophe than Nicky

anyways, it seems we have a clusterpuck in our hands with the DEADLINE

I understand, but like you said it's a cluster as is. I'd just ask everyone who sees this or gets the PM I sent to play fair. If you can get your picks in before warmup do so.

You know, as boring as the last races have been, I though, well, I wanted to think that things were going to get better in the final 3 races so I endure the streaming live telecast of the French Eurosport.

I normally go to bed at 10:30 so staying after that was a sacrifice to say the least. To add to the injury, by the time MotoGP started, the live feed started to stutter real bad but I thought, if I have already waited this long, let's see if the stream recovers itself up... Oh no, why would that happen!!!

Needless to say, I went to bed and I think I did the best thing since I have read it was another snooze fest.

Now, Lorenzo blames Nicky for the accident claiming that Nicky braked to early but, he also says that he had to lock the rear because he lost the front brakes and once that happened, he hit Nicky with the rear, lost control and away they went. My feel is that once he saw he had lost the front, panicked (who wouldn't? ) and the rest is history.

Nicky said that he doesn't blame Lorenzo since he does not do that on a daily basis ala DeAngelis and he was fighting for a Championship so he is just upset that he couldn't race.

Wonder if Rossi decided second was good enough since Lorenzo was out? Only a few people really know the answer to that question.

I honestly think that Rossi, as a racer and mutliple Champion, decided to test stoner's sack, saw that they were a tad heavy and decided against it... Smart Champions know the difference between being the one that wins many races and the one who has more points at the end of the Championship!

I think Rossi was riding for points. Stoner was on fire good to see him back on top. Lorenzo hitting the back Hayden looked like a mistake to me on his part. Nicky had a good start in top 5. It always the person passing try to do it safely plain and simple. Don't try to guess where someone is going to brake.

Completley Lorenzo's fault... how do you hit someoen from behind and claim it to be their fault?

Is it me or am I just in Love with Nicky... but did the announcers on Speed give Lroenzo a free pass on this? I understand his position in the Championship chase... but still.... are you going to win this on the first TURN? NO... but he sure did lose it!

Nicky got a good jump and was clearly into the turn when Lorenzo his him from behind...

Seems to me too many people shrugged it off because of the people involved. I was pissed... mainly because of the people involved!

Shitty year for Nicky... sad!

On the other side of the token and with the bad luck Nicky is having this year, I think that, in some sick and wierd way, Nicky is glad he does not have to endure the agony of riding that Ducati and is hoping the year will end sooner this way.

Honestly though, WOW, just WOW, I don't remember a season where any rider has been tossed like a ragdoll like Nicky has... anybody?

Doesn't fare well for the KY lad when Stoner can take a break, which should have given Nicky the good stuff, then Stoner comes back and runs so well.
