Extra Bonus points

Wild Card riders:

5 each extra bonus points will be awarded. You must pick the finishing position for each wild card rider.

Example: Pick Spies to finish 8th. If Spies finishes 8th you get 5 points.

I hope all players see this post but just in case someone misses it, he will automatically get their qualifying pole positions. Any questions?

We can't put them in the day of. The race is at 5:00 pm east coast time. It's not like we can go on the internet and find who won before seeing the race. Oh yeah this won't be on Speed it's on CBS again.

Spies & Hacking are the only two wild cards right.

Wild card picks

I would like to award 10 bonus points for each correct pick. Any objections?

Looks like Spies and Hacking are the Wild card entries.

FP1 times

Holy Cow, Stoner just set a lap time in the high 22's and everyone else is on 24's... I would say he'd slapped on some Q tires but I think he's just that good with the bike/tires combo right now..

Update... Rossi's on low 23's, Edwards & NIcky are on high 23's, Vermulen & Spies on low 24's neck and neck. I am sure Vermulen is not liking this one bit!

Oh and, Elias and Melandri are in the Top 10... WTH???

More Updates... This is looking to be another Bridgestone race from the looks of it, even Nakano is in the top 5.

Pedrosa is no where to be found on FP#, stoner is on another tear with no one even close to doing his times (it doesn't look good from a fans pov for a scrap of a race).

Nicky's the best of the michelin man but I doubt if he can podium at the end of the day, Stoner, Rossi & the Mole seem to be the most consistants.

spies is always in the top 10, hacking's doing better but on the tail end and not fairing as good as spies... perhaps the Kawi doesn't have the legs that the Zook has?

I don't know if Melandri is just doing a last effort here since he is on the way out or if he trully found something but, he is contantly in the top 5 in the score cards.

Top 5 finishes in FP3

Stoner 1'21"461
Rossi 1'22"168
Nakano
Vermulen
Melandri

Top 10

Nicky
De angelis
Lorenzo
Capirex
Dovisizo

Spies was punt by Dovi in the final stages of the practice but worth mention in the top 10 as stated before.

It is going to be a boring race with stoner dissapearing into the distance folks but I guess we have to pick our guys...

Stoner
Rossi
Vermulen
Hayden
Lorenzo

4th and 5th place are flaky but I can't choose anything else.

Wild Cards

Spies ----- 8th place
Hacking -- 14th place

1st place is pretty much sealed and done baring any disasters or errors by Stoner.
Now how to fill out the remaining 4?
  1. Stoner
  2. Rossi
  3. Chris the V
  4. Lorenzo
  5. Hayden (Gong with Hayden but boy he better finish at least 5th here!)
  6. XXXXX
  7. XXXXX
  8. XXXXX
  9. XXXXX
  10. Spies
  11. XXXXX
  12. XXXXX
  13. Hacking
Will revise after some more studying.

Great race till Casey got too hot in 11. Some of the best racing I have seen in a while. Man Lorenrzo must have frequent flyer miles by now and Dr. Costa must have a bed ready for him every race. Michelin tires sucked ass this weekend again.

Bra-F*cking-Vo!!!!

Best race I've watched this year, major kudos to Vale for winning the head games, what a masterful racer he is!!!!

I picked Stoner to win this championship and will need him to do so to have any shot at winning the pool and yet I find myself a re-newed Rossi fan given today's effort. Very "early career-esque" tactics by Rossi today. Sheer brilliance. I can't imagine not having the pace to win and yet saying, "I'm gonna stick it in there no matter what you do. React." Major set, that liitle Italian monkey. And did anyone else notice how shredded up that rear Bridgestone was?

And futhermore, boo hiss on Michelin. Like Soup said, all ya had to do was go on Weather.com, and maybe Nicky coulda nabbed you a win......at least a podium. Lost set-up time = crappier results. You guys suck.

Rossi may have turned the tide with this win. I can't wait to find out. Too bad we all gotta wait a month for the next chapter............

BTW Good on Ben and Jamie for keepin it real. If Ben didn't earn a GP ride today then it was never in the cards.

Mike, I missed it, whens the rebroadcast, do you know.

Man I just read the results on crash.net, sounds like the best race ever in ages, and stoner is all bitter. That dude sometimes man.
Too bad for lorenzo tho, his confidence must be in orbit by now.
I wonder what Nick's faith will be next year?
And my boy Melandri
Good job hacking and spies.

Seriously, somebody needs to sit that boy down and tell him to "Calm the Fook down", otherwise, he's not going to have a racing career for much longer. On the other hand, many good racers (including Doohan) were big-time crashers when they started, I am just hoping they can teach him how Not to crash for next year.
