I'm really looking forward to seeing what he can do on a factory bike, but don't have very high hopes... he seems to be just a touch off the fast pace in WSBK

That Fireblade is constantly referred to as the oldest platform out there, maybe he's not doing too bad to be just back of the fastest guys.

Anyway, let's hope he can get on the pace in Oz.

Hmmm, do we perhaps have a Creedence Clearwater Revival fan from Down Under in our midst ?

Yeah, man, all those war movie soundtracks...

Anyway, Marquez kills it, Miller and Hayden do ok, Lorenzo looks rubbish, Rossi doesn't even get to Q2 - lots to think about for the tuning fork factory.

MotoGP?

Cal is clicking now.

Kevin Cameron's article is now also posted on Cycle World.
Which also ties in with Cal's success.
The cream of versatility does rise to the top when bike/tire/track conditions are not ideal.
Jorge is extremely quick when the overall "combination" suits his rather singular high corner speed style.
Cal can win wet or dry, and less than ideal or transient conditions go some distance in offsetting his non factory bike's deficiencies as compared to the factory bikes.
Good on Cal !
And he talks quite frankly as well, and doesn't play with a large faced watch when he's talking !

...he's also a bit mad, I think, in the nicest possible way. English mad - not as much as Guy Martin, and not nearly as much as Carl Fogarty, but certainly a touch. Which is refreshing in itself.

Good observation.
And there is no doubt he is refreshing.
I waited with bated breath to hear his response to being asked why he won this time.
Instead, he went tame, and did not repeat his prior assertion of it being due to his having bigger scrotum stretchers.
I get the feeling he likes to play the crowd some, and that's a good thing.
Anyway, he was most engaging during the post race interview.
For sure he's no "personalityless metronome" !

well i've been waiting to come in here till i watched moto3 and moto2 incase of spoilers.

on that note. *spoilers below*

oh.
my.
god!

moto 3 was insane.. seriously hoping everyone is alright. good thing those bikes aren't heavier...
does anyone recall who it was that caused so much mayhem? i'll have to go back and watch it.. i thought it was one of the yellow n blue riders that sent bulega, DIGI, and Bagnaia down. The red flag incident was just pure bad luck i think when someone lost the front. Alright looked it up, looks like maybe Gabriel Rodrigo is the rider i'm thinking of. curious what everyone's thoughts are of his riding, i'll have to go back and re-watch it.
shame for darren binder, that would have been amazing but canet really played it perfect. I would have loved to hear from the racers after that race too bad they did no interviews i'm guessing cause of time.. is there a source for more moto3 news/interviews?

moto2 - couldn't believe my eyes, what a finish! literally yelling "no way!" at the tv. what a shame for Rins, just seemed like he was doomed from the start with them mentioning he felt his rear lock up unexpectedly in an earlier crash. something went wrong in that corner.. maybe just a missed gear like commentators said, idk.

motogp - I can't decide if Cal is a little arrogant/cocky or just trying to have fun.. seems like most people are going with the fun perspective, especially seeing how the other riders were with him. i enjoyed the question about having a second baby haha i was thinking the same thing. he made it sound like after changing chassis he and marquez are on pretty similar bikes? Anyways, good for him! and what a performance from Rossi, cleanly slicing is way up there.
lorenzo... after reading above article, i wonder if ducati are trying to mix there absurd top speed with lorenzo's corner speed to get the bike back in contention. It was so funny watching dovi/vinales/espargaro sounds like they were quite frustrated with the ducati.
