Either Estoril is less electronics sensitive, or Honda is getting them sorted out.
Otherwise how could Dani be faster than Jorge?

Nicky Hayden's miserable race - his words, not mine - were down to the ECU being confused and thinking that the bike was somewhere completely different on the track. Hayden's lap times kept appearing as he crossed the timing loop on the back straight, rather than on the finish line, and the bike was altering the power map on the fly - as all these bikes do - for each corner where it thought the corners were, rather than where they actually were. Where it needed power, the GP12 had its power cut right back. Where it needed less, such as at the chicane, it had full power, making it difficult to control.

I'm going to get s#!t for this, but I would love to see Hayden on the factory Honda again. Everything else staying the same, I'm betting he'd be every bit the equal of Jorge and a SOLID podium finisher every race. I'm really impressed with his showing so far and extremely disappointed with the mediocrity of the Ducati since he's gotten there.

Whats going on with Spies? Seriously? You can't tell me he can't ride a 1000cc bike. Did he not participate in testing at all or what?

at Yamaha - only Jorge Lorenzo's seat is safe, Spies' place in the factory team is uncertain, and Bradley Smith has a contract with Tech 3 to ride in MotoGP for 2013, leaving Dovizioso and Crutchlow fighting both over a seat at Tech 3, with an eye to promotion in the factory team as well - is driving Crutchlow to excel, and forcing Dovizioso to do the same. And this is a very good thing for MotoGP fans.

Spies keeps saying they are finding "bugs" in the bike every race and I really don't see Ben as the type to make crap up, but be it the new formula or the change is tire compound, fighting at the back to stay ahead of the CRT bikes is pretty unexpected and honestly, sad. I hope he gets it together. I can't believe the baseline setup is that bad it can't even compete for 5 laps.

As a side note, what a flippin' shame for Colin Edwards with yet another broken collarbone. He never saw the other bike coming. I watched a tv series recently (from a while back) about Troy Bayliss and it had quite a bit about the SBK rivalry between Bayliss and Edwards back in the '01-'02 season's. Both were just class acts from top to bottom and I have endless respect for both of them after watching. Hope to see Colin back soon, and at least get a couple seconds of TV time before he hangs up his helmet.

Whatever Vale wants, Vale will get. They'll tailor the bike around him. Will be better for Hayden also. These two worked together with Honda. Preziosi said they're developing a new engine for Laguna with less power and better driveability. Spies is getting lost in the forest(with the bugs). He better find his way out soon.
