Lodging...Jennings Nov. 18th. &19th.

For those of us not camping out I thought we could all stay at one centrally located motel/hotel. Kevin suggested we look into Valdosta, GA which is 15 minutes norht of the Jennings exit. Anyway, I would like to hear your thoughts and suggestions so we can book a place.

Mike is small enough that I don't see a problem with that. He just might want to make sure he doesn't sleep on his stomach.

I'm not picky when it comes to hotels so whatever everyone chooses is fine with me.

This past week for the 3 track days we did at Jennings most of us stayed at the Days Inn at Exit 5 (which is only about 10 minutes from the track). It was clean and they had the Continental breakfast available starting at 5:00am, which was good for getting something before heading to the track. The cost was $49. a night ( that may have been a special rate for the track day since we had about 30 people staying there). It was clean and well maintained. I used to stay at the Lake Park Inn at Exit 2 (which is even closer to the track )...but started getting tired of the cockroaches!

Thanks for the info. Are there any decent eating establishments in the Days Inn area.

CMulford, we will not be renting rooms by the hour. Not that you are familiar with that?

So, shall we see if we can get a group rate at the Day's?

Thanks, Greyhound.

Days Inn looks decent. http://www.roadsideamerica.com/hotel...info/9923.html
I will give them a call to see how many rooms we need to guarantee in order to get a group rate. Even at the reg. rate it is not going to break the bank.

There are a few places to eat at Exit 5...but not the good selection there is in Valdosta. All the good eating places are at Exit 18...North of the Days Inn at Exit 5. It only takes 15 minutes or so to get there from the hotel. I can definately recommend Mori's, which is similar to Benihanas (the chefs cook on the grill in front of the group). There is something for everyone at that exit. Mexican food, Steak restaurants etc.

Think you can or think you can't, either way you will suceed.

You bet...I wouldn't miss it for the world. Gotta have some of EZee's BarBQ!!
I just hope we get enough people to sign up so Brad doesn't have to cancel the event.

It's too bad guys...but Brad has cancelled the trackday due to lack of interest. Sure is a shame.
