DMG Daytona 200... 2009

Was I the only IDIOT watching this fiasco of a race?

Don't get me wrong, I am glad there are races out there but you gotta feel sorry for some of those racers.

Yeah, Yeah, first time doing it, cut them some slack... blah blah blah

There is no excuse for the pace car to cause, yet, another accident and botching the getting a hold of the leader... you would think that Nascar would have taught them better.

AMA/DMG = same idiots. They'll kill somebody with the pace car.

The announcers were even worse. Freddie Spencer "If they move Ben up to the front then it won't matter." Uh...he will have done an extra lap there dumbass. So they get it right and flag everybody else by, let them do the extra lap, and then let Ben restart on cold tires while everybody else is warm. Nice decision.

Pace car definately screwed up a decent race. No need for a pace car red flag and restart like a normal race. Please no Nasbike and yes the annoucing sucks.

It was certainly interesting to say the least. Some good racing though when the circus wasn't interfering. I also found it odd all the Honda's disappeared at the end of the race Ricko2, twilight zone maybe?

Thye gambled with thier pit stops, as did a great many of other folks - Not DMGs fault, heck, if anything ,they are more out to keep Honda happy, what with all thier sponsership money they used to throw at them -

Im totally agree, that safey car was the turning point of the whole race, it killed the excitment and intrest - if they wouldnt have rolled that stupid car, this was a great 200 - One more example, cars dont belong in motorcycle racing - throw a red flag and take it back to the pits if its so bad. Rolling a car with the entire grid behind you doestn do anything to help keep it safe, you just get a few more mintues before everyone and a stupid car rolls back by the incident scene - If they had just red flagged the race , it would have helped it out a whole lot.

But really, the race under the lights was pretty bad a$$ - Plus, with the rider intors and all, it was REALLY cool to go and wonder around pit lane before the race, there were ALOT of very excited fans milling about ( me included ) - All in all, other than the car crap, I say it was a good first outing -

What was meant by the Honda's dissapearing is after the race was over and they showed everyone's name and the place they finished it showed the manufacture of their motorcycle next to each persons name. Honda was not listed next to anyone's name.

I was at the race. I still can't believe the fiasco that the series has become! I am not a Nascar fan ,Rodger Edmeston needs to go away.
The advantage afforded to the Buel make a mockery of the series!

I have lost all interest on watching anything related to AMA racing since about 2 or 3 years ago, more so now with the DMG taking over.

I kinda new it was going the way of the toilet but, in the back of my mind, I hoped I was wrong... watching lawnmower racing could be more exciting than this.

I am all for racing but people start to cheers the Buells for being up front, something is definately wrong with the series. And I am not saying that I hate the fate that buells are racing, hell no, the more the merrier, I do hate the fact that they are cherry picking though.
