Crappy Race

Admit it it sucked!

But I heard... or thought I heard something during the telecast that made me go........ WHAT DID HE SAY? DID YOU HEAR THAT? WHAT WAS THAT? And of course the 3 people 'watching' with me... didn't hear crap!

Did Nicky sign with Ducati for next season?

I heard something about it. Checked the web all I could find is that it was rumored that he may go to Ducati in 09. Of course that was back at the China race a few months ago, couldn't find anything recent.

Me too...

But the announcers this weekend made it sound as if it was a done deal?!

Funny how a lil mention of this and suddenly Honda gives him the Pnuematic engine and waalaaaaaa.... he's picked up the pace! Screw Honda Nicky... I say go ITALIAN!

2nd week in a row that they've mentioned it.

I've seen nothing on all the websites I frequent, Soup, Crash, RRW and Cycle News.

Soup would be all over this if it had any meat to it.

I heard the same thing from the announcer, right after he mentioned how happy Nicky was with the new frame and engine...

You can't rule out anything these days but that isn't enough to convince me it's a done deal.

Likewise, I think it might be a good fit. I'd love Nicky to stay with Honda as much as anything but they seem to be going in another direction. It's seems like they've already chalked up his championship as a fluke and are completely in bed with Pedrosa.

What do you guys think?

It's not enough to convince me either, I just wanted you to see there had been a little chatter about it.

I think Ducati needs to ditch Melandri because he's obviously lost whatever he had and Nicky should take the ride if it is offered. Though Honda shows instances of support for Nick they've disregarded his needs too much. Ducati is a way better team with respect to honoring their riders and I'm thinking he'll like it there a whole lot more. I think the bike will also be a better fit for him as well given how wild Stoner tends to ride it.

I think the racing would be much more interesting with Nicky & Stoner battling it out, but would that be the case? I agree Honda as not given the kids what he needs so he should go for the Duc. Career span in that sport is too short to spend waiting around for better equip. Go Nicky!

Didn't they also mention Gibernau as one of the candidates? Why i don't know.
