Cost of Trackday photographer pics

There was a professional photographer at the track a couple of weeks ago and he got some really good shots. I went to his website to check out the proofs. He's charging $9 for 1 "high quality" jpg on CD and $55 for all the pics of a single rider and $15 for a single 8X10 print. Man that seems steep, but I realize I am one of the cheapest folks on the planet.

Anyone ever buy the professional photos at a track day? How much were they?

Mine were about the same. $50 for the CD of all of your pictures. But how much are memories like that worth to you? IMO, $50 is cheap to have something like this to last forever....

$65 for a CD from picsofyou.com at the track. I think it is $85 after the event due to hosting fees, etc...

I think Nathan has bought a couple of pics from his first track days. Now I just take pictures of him. I really need to get into that business! I'd sell mine for much less, the prices they charge are crazy!

Yep. First track day I bought a CD of all my pics for I think $20. Now Angela takes them all and they are just as good.

Any of you guys come up and hit the track with me, I know she will take pics.

Well thanks, this just reminded me to check out the pics from my last trackday! Those prices sound about average. I think it's best to just buy one or two of the best photos. When you buy the whole cd, alot of the pic tend to look the same.

Angela, I've seen your pics, and would def pay for some! Nate, which track are you refering too?

Let us know when you hit VIR, there's several folks in the area that head up there often. I think you probalby already know a couple.

Anyway, I couldn't resist, here's some pics from my last trackday at VIR S. I know I'm not supposed to just get them of the website, but I consider it free advertising. PICS OF YOU does a great job.

I agree that buying 1 or 2 pics from the track guy are not too bad. The ones that were crazy were people in The Gap!

Shiz, I'll take your shots for free. Everyone get together for a track day and fly me out there. I'll get you each about 50 different angles. I'll even photoshop motohead onto the back of your bike while you're bankin a corner.

I have:

Canon 10D
Canon 20D
Canon 17-40mm L
Canon 10-22mm
Canon 28-135mm IS
Canon 85mm f/1.8
Canon 200mm f/2.8 L
Canon 1.4x Extender L
Sigma 50mm Macro (to get close-ups of moto's butt hairs)

I have the equipment and experience, just let me know bros and gals.

If I can make this talentless hack look good, I can do it to anyone

Oh, and buy me this please. Thank you.

I got the Canon stuff too. Ragdoll, these are the .jpg stuff, not the .raw files, and you know what you can do with those. Nice photo setup you got lined up there.

I didn't have the correct lens with me to do SuperMoto shots. Plus these guys are hard to predict, they are sliding all over the place.
SuperMoto

I have better shots(I think) but haven't gotten around to posting them.
SuperBike

They all will look better in Original size. Patience with loading, they are giant.

Thanks for asking.

Is that pic of Hodgson from the kink at Road America?

(I guess technically it would be the chicane, since the AMA boys don't take the kink)

Yep.

Ben Bostrom is the one waving from the other Ducati picture.

I renamed some of the pics just now.

If your brave enough to ride on the street, then you're plenty brave to ride on the track. Be warned though, there is no turning back!

My buddy is going to one of those with school buses. I've never been, but it sounds like fun.
