Truth be told We couldn't have done it without Mikes motor being bought at such a cheap (Broke Ass) price, and James being kind enough to bring it home from Va Beach. The season started with us spliting the cases on Mike's old motor to put an Ebay'ed transmission in it.
We went into this to give it 1 good year...., so that when we're old(er) and gray(er) we could say we did it. 3 races ago we we're already wishing the season was over.
The loss of our 2nd VIR round left us battling most of the Northeast guys for Mid Atlantic points, and all of our champioships went to the last race, except for mine, thanks to a transmission going out on the 1098 that was killing me all year long. (thats what I call irony)
Broke Ass Racing ended up with 4 Championships
John Vance - Mid Atalantic A-Superbike Champ
Russ Proctor - Mid Atlantic MediumWeight Senior SBK Champ
and I snagged the HWT Twins classes.
With the champioships we also brought home 12 Regional Podiums
Special thanks to Ridge, Hondaf4iguy, and Brevity and all those that helped make this such a special season for a bunch of old, broke racers.
