Another track day.....

Had my second track day this past Saturday again at Shannonville on the Pro track. Never ran this track before so the morning sessions were spent trying to figure the track out and getting lines down.

We had 4 classes that day with 15 minute sessions, not enough track time I thought, not sure I want to do another track day that has more then 3 groups. Missed the first session, second session, a RC51 high-sided on the hairpin corner on the second lap so that session was completely shot.

Overall it was a good day, weather was hot with a little breeze so it wasn't too bad in the shade. Plus it was my birthday so I got to drag my knees on my birthday which was fun!

Heading to Gratten at the end of the month for a double-header, can't wait for that, never been there before!

Congrats Sporty! Happy Birthday too! Did it break 80°?

Oh, I overlooked the picture but nice choice of bikes. How long have you had that bike?

Happy B'Day.
What is that dark spot on the front tire. Pick up some rubber?

Thanks everyone!

I've had my track '01 F4i now for over 3-4 years now, can't exactly remember when I picked it up.

I also noticed the dark spot on the tire, must have been rubber that I picked up in.

Oh and I'll take the "Babe" for now.........

And you have Spyke leathers? Very nice! If I would have known that you could find a Spyke dealer I would have asked you to find me some armor but I already ordered some. I busted my elbow hard armor at Jennings last month and replaced it with some CE rubber. That's good stuff!

Congrats! Happy Birthday! Nice Boots!?????

I've heard mixed things about Shannonville. What's it like there? I'd like to get up there with TPM soon. Maybe in the fall, and try to get Mosport (sp?) in too!

Shannonville is ok, there are actually 4 track configurations. I've been on Nelson, Fabi and Pro, don't really care for Nelson and Fabi is my favourite so far.

Mosport is a huge track and a very fast one, I don't recommend any new track riders on Mosport. Last year during a track day, someone lost their life on corner 2 which is known for all the cars/bikes that get bit in the ass there.

If you do end up booking any track days at Shannonville or Mosport, let me know Gbord and I'll try and book the same day!

Yeah, let me know too. We can get a caravan going from NC. Maybe even convince E. to take some vacation.

It's hard to tell if there are any trackdays left this year from the schedules, so might not be until next year. But by then, we could get a big ole' southern train(caravan) headed up there!
