919 racing season is here!

I don't know if many of you guys with niners are still flogging them at the track, but I FINALLY made my first 10 second pass!
Anybody else been making passes this year?

Holy crap... I haven't gotten on the strip yet this year but my best time last year was 12.16 at 111... I'd be interested to know what you've done to your bike also... It probably doesn't help that I weigh almost 300 pounds too...lol

RR header, PC3, and I strut the rear and tie the front down. Stock other than that. I guess I'm finally getting my clutch finger tuned in.

I had a brain fart today and picked up a wet nitrous kit. I guess I need to dig up a few guys from a while back. Buckey?!?!
Last fall I was in the 11.2 area with full stock suspension, stock header, and my eBay can.

Best I had ever done was 11.1 at 118.
That's with .018 head gasket, minor porting, stock header with Sato cans. I'd shorten the shock (Penske) and raise the tube until they touched the handle bar. So about 1 to 1.5 inch drop if memory serves correctly.

Never strapped the front. I'm sure I could have squeaked a 10.99 out had I done it but I prefer to run the bike as its ridden to the track. Just my thing.

Here's to you hitting 10.80s this year. Good luck.

Well... I'm down to one front disk, took off a few unnecessary tidbits, and made a one swingarm out of two for 5" of stretch. When my sticky new tire gets here, and a couple custom brake lines, (Venhill, anybody have any experience with them? They seem pretty easy to work with from talking to them...) and I'll be out for a few street cruises to see how it handles. Next race day is July 19th, I'm on a mission to beat a scrawny little guy on an R6.

Maybe lose the weights and heal guard for the pillion pegs. Those things are very heavy. Or better go rear sets so you can get lower to the tank.

And clip ons.

That is an impressive 1/4 time for the 919. I haven't gotten mine out to the strip yet, but I really want to. I don't think I'll get anywhere near 10, haha.

Still N/A, 5" stretch. I think I can get a few more tenths yet!
