New toy

Was originally gonna go for a focused track bike but recently got to try one of these and went for it. DRZ-400e converted to motard. Got some nice talon hubs and CF engine guards as part of the deal. Lotsa fun on the street and I can tell it's gonna be a riot on the track. Happy companion to the hornet.

Ohhhhhhhhhh.........

Very nice! I see some of those locally here and you couldn't take the smiles off the riders faces with surgery.

Perhaps you can grace us with a few more pics???????

Here's a couple more from the seller I bought from. Will take a couple of fresh ones when we've got some good sun.

I only miss the extra power on the freeway but just after a day, I'm already carrying more corner speed and am generally pushing harder on this thing than I ever did on the hornet.

a 400e conversion.... does it have the nice fcrmx 39mm carb? if so look into the 3x3, and AP mod ... obviously its not a CA s or SM version, so you already have the thinner base gasket (more compression), and better Cams.

i so want a drz400... just cant afford one right now... price on them is high here in so cal as they are quite popular.

compared to the SM, this has got a bit more travel, but I like the upside down forks of the SM better in the looks department. Yes, this has the FCR carb, but it's also geared a little shorter than the factory SM, so I might have to play with that to keep up with the other guys. The E also lacks the rad fan that the SM has. It's got a headlight and a tail light but i'll have to figure out some signal lights by the time registration comes around this year. Also came with a trailtech vapor speedo but previous owner hasn't gotten it to work...i'll see what I can do.
