New Seat Concepts seat for my XRL!!!

So I contacted Seat Concepts (Seat Concepts) because I had heard they were making dual sport seat upgrades! I found out they had just been developing a seat for my Honda XR650L so I ordered and shortly received a beautiful custom black seat cover with what appeared to be a much denser than stock foam padding to replace the stock one! They sale these kits or for a fee will do a full install but for that you must send them your seat so I just ordered the kit and had it installed locally by a professional. For these kits you just remove your stock cover and foam and re-use your original seat pan. They did offer a Gripper style seat cover but since I never used a Gripper I said just send standard.

Now the cover has been installed and with the weather what it has been lately around here (COLD) I have not been able to do an extended ride with it but I have done a little riding and must say this seat is SO superior to stock that it is not even a fair fight! The denser foam makes for much more support and they do ask your weight so as to get the foam dialed in just right. As far as I can tell they hit my weight/density right on the head! The new seat is a bit wider with a much more usable shape to it. I would have to say with my weight the foam had to be dense enough that the foam does not collapse like the stock one therefore feeling like the bike may have gained a couple inches in height although in reality I don't think it really did.

I am posting up some pictures and will give complete details of my thoughts once I get a fair chance to evaluate the product but so far I love it!

My biggest bitch with the stock seat was that within 50-60 miles my rear started feeling like it was on fire then quickly became completely numb! Unacceptable as far as I am concerned when I have been doing nearly day long rides on this bike since I got it.
