Close call

Close call on the DRZ Sm today. Total loss of front brakes as I came into a corner. Saved it with the rear and a bunch a downshifts in the last second. As it turns out, your life does flash before your eyes. Luckily these things don't do much more than 100 kph.

Upon inspection I discovered my front braided line had worn through where it was contacting the front tire at the bottom of the fork stroke. Wore clean through the braided housing and the plastic line under that... Dumb mistake on my part. Avoid it if you can. Use the right length (this was a tad long as I have the triples dropped a bit on the forks), route lines well and secure them, make sure nothing rubs.

Good thing the brake fluid didn't spray out on your tire. Otherwise.......
