First impressions:
The fit and finish were exceptional. It is a very attractive bike. The front looks very FJR'esque. From a distance the Norge has a bit of a "scooter" look. A cross between a ST and Silverwing. The saddle is nicely sculptured with a good fit for my moneymaker. The hand position was nice and relaxed, but I would have liked more leg room.
The Norge ran nice with enough V-twin character to get you excited at first. I went on a leisure ride and not wanting to kill the bike. All I can say is that it was nice ... it really didn't stir my soul. I could definitely ride it 1000 miles a day without issue, but bored doing it. Not that ... that's a bad thing.
If you are looking for a different bike that will not have a duplicate in the parking lot and like a comfortable bike ... this is it.

I enjoyed it while it was at speed. It felt very sluggish and clumsy when maneuvering slowly.
Enjoyable? To me it just wasn't and issue. It was a nice ride, but "yawn".
When I jumped back on the XX ... I was so much happier. One thing that the Norge just can't do is ... induce a stupid ear to ear grin with a little school girl chuckle while doing 85 mph at 5000 rpm, a few clicks down and hitting it WOT!

My camera, actually my youngest daughters camera, battery died right when I was about to take my first pic of the Rickman!

Not a problem. Parts coming to put the Givi V46 with gel back pad on the back. Along with bar risers. I'm not found of the Corbin side cases and will try my soft luggage for now.
So, with the V46, side bags, tank bag and a few net bungies ... I should be good to go. The same set-up more than sufficed with the KLR going out west for a week.
Pics will be supplied.

the big thing I like about the Norge is that you wont pass yourself while out riding. They dont bring alot of them into the states, first year , they only brought 3 red ones in the states ! Not a bad bike for a air/oil cooed twin, but, its just way too pricey, espically when considering the Triumph Sprting St with ABS is like 12,300 -

You may not pass yourself, but I guarantee people will mistake it for a Beemer, a Yamaha FZ, or even a Honda.... It may be a major step for Guizzi, but it does not redifine the category. At least not to me.
In my "let's buy it broken and fix it" days I almost bought a v11 Scura but decided its resale value would greatly depend on original repair parts instead of my usual hodge-podge. When I was unable to get any Guzzi dealer to return my calls I passed on the bike. I bet it would've been fun for at least a little while.
