Bye funky yet strangely alluring cruiser...may your knew owner find the joy in you Scott could never locate.
I actually started appreciating it a bit as I rode it more. Still wasn't my cup of tea but I can see the appeal. The buyer didn't make it back Sunday to pick it up, flying down tomorrow afternoon and riding it home. Pretty cool to have a businessman fly into a private airport with his lovely wife, take the bike for a spin around the parking lot and buy it on the spot, then climb back in his plane and fly off.
One last shot, heading out to meet the new owner at Eagle Creek Airport.
He jumped out of his buddy's plane, put on a rainsuit and hit the road home to Flint. Brave man, riding an unfamiliar bike into a rain storm for a 350 mile trip!
I just traded for one to save space on a Military move, but it's not quite my style. I hope by seeing the gusto here it won't be to difficult to get rid of.
The oil fill hole on the left head has a slight ridge around it.
Yep it catches rain water and the cheap 3 cent plastic cap
can let water in.
Aother pleasing quirk is a high oil level on a cold day ( with a
rubber gasket that has gotten hard) can cause the oil sight
window to blow out of the engne case when you start
the bike.
