Stolen: 1975 cb550 custom build

It's not mine, but I"m posting for a pretty good friend of mine. We've done work together (my cafe fighter and his cb550 'goldie').

from his fbook post:
My motorcycle was stolen yesterday or the night before from outside my apartment in downtown fargo, ND. It would have been either loaded on a trailer or put in the back of a truck. The motorcycle is all custom built and its black and gold with EJS on the side of the fuel tank. Its a 1975 cb550 with a BCR tank. The Licencse plate is 764 M. Please keep an eye out for it and if anyone knows any info call 701-261-xxxx (PM VELODESIGN FOR TIPS PLEASE!).

Feel free to share this with your Facebook friends to get the word out! Thanks!

Picture attached to thread.

Thanks fellow Wters.

Good news!

BIKE HAS BEEN RECOVERED! It was discovered in an Alley hidden behind a dumpster. The paint is scratched up, its fallen on both sides, the ignition has been drilled out and the wiring has been pulled out to try to hot wire it and a few other things.... But nothing that can't be fixed! Also, because of some great leads the police think there's a good chance of catching the guys that did it. Thanks for everyones help!

It was short lived but id like to think because everyone kept an eye out for him it was found. Thanks for everyone's help here as well! If this ever happens to anyone here, ill be the first to help / post anyway I can!

Great news!!! Not very often you hear about a custom car/bike being recovered in one piece.

My brother's friend had his car stolen from the Mall of America and they found it completely gutted parked on some side street in St. Paul.

I hope the police catch those bastards and make an example of them.
